Mother-daughter relationship (LOH 179)
A mother-daughter relationship of course is very lovely. We know that every mom loves their daughter and every daughter loves her mom, or so I know.
I can say I have the best relationship with my mom, I always work with her and she appreciates me a lot 💜, and I know that she always wants the best for me.
Every mother-daughter relationship is unique, each one is marked by it's joys and cherished memories! There's always opportunity for mutual learning and growth between both of them. As the daughters come of age, they bring fresh perspectives and insights that enrich her mother's life. Mothers also impact wisdom in their daughters and they have a good life perspective!
While mother and daughter relationship is often seen as loving and affectionate, it is not immune to challenges and conflicts.
I'll tell you an experience of a mother and daughter that I know:
Ngozi and her mom was two different people. Everyone knew they never get along. Their relationship was marked with disagreements, misunderstandings. Ngozi never listens to anything her mom says, her mom on the other hand doesn't understand what kind of girl she is!
The girl never agrees to do any chores at home for her mom, and her mom always complains about her. This has happened since we knew the girl from scratch.
We all thought she hated her mom.
What we know is that her mom always wanted her to study law, before she was doing things and working hard to please her mom, but she soon rebelled against her, she wanted to be independent from her mom!
She proved very stubborn that even her mom gave up on her, one day her mom even said that she'll no longer have anything to do with her. The girl even left the house and we didn't hear from her again. Her mom focused on the rest of the children.
Next time we saw the Ngozi was when she came back, but this time with unwanted pregnancy! She was looking very pale and we knew she was also very sick. We wondered if her mom would take her back after all the rebellion.
Well, yes she did! It's her daughter and she loves her very much no matter what, so she took good care of her till she delivered the baby. From then on they both had a good relationship, the girl learnt her lessons, the mom also played her own part not to be too demanding on the daughter and show her love and care. I think they learnt to understand each other!
Despite any differences, love is a strong bond of union, love bounds a mother and her daughter together forever!

I know the deed has been done but Ngozi could have avoided going through all that if she had listened more to her mum than think of what she wants only.
