Yo decidí participar con la pregunta 1:

1️⃣ ¿Qué es lo que no entiendes de ti mismo?
Todos tenemos cualidades que no tienen explicación.

El liderazgo y trabajo en equipo. No tengo formación en esa área, solo se que lo disfruto y me dicen que lo hago bien.

Me encanta que los equipos de trabajo se lleven bien y consigan sus metas. Estas se consiguen cuando todos van en el mismo sentido. Aunque hay diferencias siempre se solventan por el bien común.

Por lo general no sabía que tenía estas dotes hasta que, en mi lugar de trabajo, tuvimos que hacer un gran proyecto donde todos teníamos que participar, unos con experiencia ya comprobada y otros como yo recién graduada.

En las reuniones se hacían lluvias de ideas. Allí sí participábamos todos. Se decidía a favor del equipo.

Al principio nunca me tomaban en cuenta por ese motivo: recién llegada y sin experiencia. Aparte de eso como que tenía ideas que no los convencían. Eran demasiado novedosas para esa época. Esto incluía el control de plagas con productos elaborados a base de plantas. Mis compañeros no estaban de acuerdo con ese tipo de control porque desconocían por completo cómo empezar......

Después me felicitaron por ello. Me confesaron que ellos nunca se hubiesen planteado esas ideas tan novedosas por miedo a ser rechazados. Ya en ese tiempo tenían una reputación creada y les dió miedo aventurarse hacia nuevos horizontes.

Les confieso que esto me llevó tiempo. Así que cuando comenzó a llegar la generación de relevo, al instituto donde trabajaba, me puse muy contenta. Allí si florecieron y dieron fruto mis cualidades y mis novedosos procedimientos le fascinaron a todos.

Tengo que reconocer que formé un gran equipo con esta nueva generación. Al momento de jubilarme me dijeron: no sabemos que vamos a hacer sin ti.

Yo les prometí seguir ayúdandolos hasta que finalizara el proyecto. Y así fue.

I decided to participate with question 1:

1️⃣ What don't you understand about yourself?
We all have qualities that are unexplained.

Leadership and teamwork. I have no training in that area, I just know I enjoy it and I'm told I do it well.

I love it when teams get along and achieve their goals. These are achieved when everyone is going in the same direction. Even if there are differences, they are always resolved for the common good.

I usually did not know that I had these gifts until, in my workplace, we had to do a big project where we all had to participate, some with proven experience and others like me recently graduated.

In the meetings we brainstormed ideas. There we all participated. Decisions were made in favor of the team.

At the beginning I was never taken into account for that reason: newcomer and inexperienced. Apart from that, I kind of had ideas that didn't convince them. They were too novel for that time. This included pest control with plant-based products. My colleagues did not agree with that kind of control because they were completely unaware of how to start.......

They later complimented me on it. They confessed to me that they would never have considered such novel ideas for fear of being rejected. They already had a reputation at that time and were afraid to venture into new horizons.

I confess that this took me a while. So when the next generation began to arrive at the institute where I worked, I was very happy. There my qualities blossomed and bore fruit and my novel procedures fascinated everyone.

I have to admit that I formed a great team with this new generation. When I retired they told me: we don't know what we are going to do without you.

I promised to continue helping them until the project was finished. And so it was.
