MY PERSPECTIVE ON FALLπŸπŸ‚πŸŒΎ

IMG_0939.jpeg

I love fall!🍁 Even though in my neck of the woods, people will complain about the grey skies, the constant rain and/or drizzle and the shortened days, I always look forward to this time of year.

Yes, it is a closing. The summer crops are done and the farmers as well as those who have smaller home gardens, are busy harvesting what they’ve grown and storing it, canning it, freezing it, for the winter and spring months to come until the seasons turn and it’s time to do it all again. The leaves turn colors and silently float down to land on the ground and become food for the earth. Earthy smells abound and spark a memory from past fall seasons.

But, it’s also a time of new beginnings. Fall marks the start of the school year, although this year is very different from those in the past. It marks the beginning of personal studies, whether educational or spiritual. As the days shorten and turn cooler, the smell of wood smoke permeates the air. Thoughts turn to family gatherings for the holidays that are fast approaching. Pumpkin spice is a way of life (for many) and it’s just a cozier time.

I love the sound of rain on the skylight, while a warm toasty fire burns in the wood stove and I’m curled up on the couch with a good book and a mocha. My husband may be with me, or he might be tinkering on a project in another part of the house, but it’s very cozy and nice.

A time for family; reflection on where you’ve been this year and what the fast approaching new year will bring; a time for love and laughter and just being who you are.

Yes………I love fall!🍁 Thanks for humoring me in my whimsy and reading this far. Take care and enjoy your favorite time of year whether it’s fall, winter, spring or summer! πŸ’œ

I tend to like the Fall too being a mid November baby. πŸ‚
I enjoy the sound of a life giving rain. 🌧
The crispness of a frosty morning. 🌬
AND THE SOUNDS AND AROMA of HALLOWEEN! πŸ’€ πŸŽƒ πŸ‘» πŸ¦‡

I am a November baby as well! What day is yours? Mine is the 11th. Take care @kerrislravenhill, and have a lovely night! Fall is in the air!

13th, I slept in late. Missed being a Halloween baby, with Goths as a Halloween baby I'd be treated like royalty among Goths.

People will always find something to complain about, whether it's too hot, too cold, too rainy, not enough... ☹️

I like fall, or autumn as we call it in UK when the trees (if i can find many!) turn a lovely array of autumn colours and the weather is perfect for walks.

I have to say that I am a certain summer person, but for the reasons that you said, I do like the fall too. Fall colors are really beautiful. But what I hate in fall is the thing that I know soon there's only going to be grayness everywhere. As the leaves fall and turn brown and grey and there's only rain and cold before it snows, that is the most melancholic time of the year I know. Not even a hint of the summer coming as there is in the spring when everything is also gray and dull but you know nature is just waiting for that one warm day to start growing.

But yes, new beginnings is a good feeling for me too and I like that things change somehow. I do wish though that fall and spring would be shorter than what they usually are. I love proper hot summer and proper cold winter with lots of snow. So here's a summer child wishing that winter would come soon. :D

Winter is hardest here where I live as the days are very short and 80% of the time, it is grey and rainy. I think I kind of roll the holidays into my fall season and then once we hit January, I really crave spring and freshness. Thanks for stopping by and commenting! Have a lovely day!πŸ’œ

Every season has something to like in fact, but as soon as all the leaves are down on the ground, and it's starting to look bear and dead, fall is not my favorite season anymore.

I do love it when every leaf turns into a flower with the beautiful colors that come with it. And starting to see that much more and more each day. The cozy evenings, I can love it yes. But every year again, I long for spring to come.

We all do eventually! I enjoy this season all the way through December and then with the beginning of the new year, I am so longing for spring and fresh flowers and produce.πŸ’œ

I enjoyed reading your post.

I too love fall and nearly everything about it, colorful leaves, a slight hint of chill in the air (but only slight ha ha), pumpkins, warm comfort foods and cozy places with books.

Winter though is my least favorite, I truly do not like the cold, so it is bitter sweet. I love the fall, but not the season it leads into.

Thank you @jacy.boldart! I have the same mixed feelings about winter. There is beauty there as well, but you have to get past the cold first! Take care and have a good evening!πŸ’œ
