Hola querida comunidad de Ladies of Hive. Esta es mi entrada A LA 13ª EDICIÓN DEL CONCURSO COMUNITARIO DE LAS MUJERES DE LA COLMENA, gracias por esta iniciativa.

This time I will answer the two questions

En esta oportunidad responderé las dos preguntas:

1️⃣ If you had a choice to "COOK" or "ORDER DELIVERY," which would you choose, what food would you have, and why?

1️⃣ Si tuvieras la opción de "COCINAR" u "PEDIR ENTREGA", ¿cuál elegirías, qué comida comerías y por qué?

If I had a chance to order prepared halgo, I would order a roast chicken with halbaquitas, salad and a Coke. That was my habit when the water, gas or electricity was cut off, the perfect pretext to have lunch or dinner without cooking and it was the closest I could get home.

Si tuviera la oportunidad de pedir halgo preparado pediria un pollo asado con hallaquitas, ensalada y una coca cola. Esa era mi costumbre cuando se iba el agua, el gas o la luz , el pretesto perfecto para almorzar o cenar sin cocinar y era lo mas cerca que me quedaba de la casa.

2️⃣ When you cook, what is one of the best dishes of your country/region? Share the recipe with us, please!

2️⃣ Cuando cocinas, ¿cuál es uno de los mejores platos de tu país / región? ¡Comparte la receta con nosotros, por favor!

The typical dish of my country is "El pabellón criollo"; very tasty made with shredded meat, white rice, black beans and fried banana slices. However, "arroz con pollo" or commonly called "paella" has become very traditional to share at parties and gatherings, in addition to the fact that the meat is very expensive, the chicken is more accessible to Venezuelans and yields more.

El plato típico de mi país es "El pabellón criollo"; muy sabroso elaborado con carne desmenuzada, arroz blanco, frijoles negros y rodajas de plátano frito. Sin embargo, el "arroz con pollo" o comúnmente llamado "paella" se ha vuelto muy tradicional para compartir en fiestas y reuniones, además de que la carne es muy cara, el pollo es más accesible para los venezolanos y rinde más.

Paella has several ways of preparation and is to the taste of diners, you can add seafood, sausages, corn, carrots, petipuas and any other ingredient.

La paella tiene varias formas de preparación y es del gusto de los comensales, se le puede agregar mariscos, embutidos, maíz, zanahorias, petipuas y cualquier otro ingrediente.

This is my recipe for how I prepare it, I tell you this paella that I made for 60 people, which was placed in hermetic plastic containers.

Esta es mi receta de cómo la preparo, les cuento esta paella que hice para 60 personas, la cual fue colocada en envases herméticos de plástico.

Rice with chicken or paella || Arroz con pollo o paella

Ingredients:Ingredientes
6 chickens, chopped into small pieces6 pollos picados en trozos pequeños
4 kilos of rice4 kilos de arroz
1/2 kilo of onion1/2 kilo de cebolla
1/4 kilo of chili pepper1/4 kilo de aji
3 red bell peppers3 pimentones rojo
Enough garlicAjo suficiente
3 cubes of concentrate of chicken or marinade3 cubitos de concentrado de pollo o adobo
1/2 kilo between coriander, chives and parsley1/2 kilo entre cilantro, cebollín y perejil
4 grated carrot4 zanahoria rallada

1. Step/paso

  • Finely chop all the vegetables except the carrot and part of the parsley and place in a pot with colored oil or onoto, fry well, stirring well without letting them burn.
  • Picar finamente todos los vegetales menos la zanahoria y parte del perejil y colocar el una olla con aceite con color u onoto sofreir bien moviendo bien sin dejar que se quemen.

2. Step/ Paso

  • Add all the chicken and stir until the seasonings are integrated, add salt to taste and 3 liters of water and cook over medium heat
  • Agregar todo el pollo y mover hasta integrar los aliños, agregar sal al gusto, agregar 3 litros de agua y dejar cocinar a guego medio.

3. Step / Paso

-After cooking the chicken well, add the rice, the carrot, the corn and part of the parsley that was reserved, stir and leave for half an hour over medium heat, then lower the heat and leave for 10 more minutes, turn off and leave covered for 5 minutes and voila, you can now enjoy a very tasty oriental paella.

  • Luego de cocinar bien el pollo, agrega el arroz, la zanahoria, el elote y parte del perejil que se reservó, mueve y deja por media hora a fuego medio, luego baja el fuego y deja por 10 minutos más, apaga y deja tapado durante 5 minutos y listo, ya puedes disfrutar de una paella oriental muy sabrosa.
