When our Ecosystem plays havoc. - Natural calamities.

It is not wrong to say that year 2020 is worst year ever faced by humans. The assumption is not only based on the ongoing pandemic crisis, but also because of other factors where humans are too involved in messing with the environment.

While the whole world is still fighting for survival due to covid-19, India has many other issue to deal with. The worst of all is the natural calamities like Flood which has created havoc in many village areas.

The village in picture has completelly submerged in water. It was only a matter of 3-4 hours that the entire village area were covered with water. The fields , the roads or the houses were completelly submerged in water.

People were forced to leave their home looking to some safer places, the cattles where also been shifted to safe places. However looking at the condition, the water lever will rise further creating more problems for the villagers.

On talking to some known one, this is the first time in 20 years , that flood strikes in the village. Last time it happened was in 2000. Also talking to my nephew, they saw the water level rises inch by inch.

The fields which were sowed recently, were completely submerged in water, giving an indication of complete spoiling of all the paddy. Though it look to be a very pleasant site like a beautiful natural wateebody. But these are the flood water that entered the village.

The adjoining river water have crossed the danger mark that allows the water to enter and rattle up the village life.

All the government promises were broken and these villagers were left to live upon their luck. They have to make arrangement of themselves for their livlihood.and also keep themselves alive.

Looking at the worst situation in 20 years, I only pray for the well-being of all the villagers. The village is of my sister inlaw. They still have their native home, however noone is living their. The relatives are safe and getting ready to face the worst.
