The cat gets a bed upgrade & interest from a male suitor 😺
The kids noticed Fifi sleeping in her usual sunny spot the other day and decided to upgrade her bed very quietly without waking her up. It was fun watching them do this and it made a big difference to the usual noisy games!
They took turns to stand on the seat and arrange things carefully around her.
She really was sleeping deeply and had no idea what was happening.
They added a bunch of different mouse sized toys all around her, so she would have something to play with when she woke.
And finally they built a little wall to keep her safe.
When she woke up she was quite surprised!
If only cats could talk.
The other thing I wanted to mention was that she has a boyfriend! In fact he is not the first but on this occasion it was different because she was on heat for the first time and seemed very interested to play with him.
I have never seen this cat before but I am glad I was able to photograph him because something tells me this is the father of our future kittens.
There are many wild cats living on a south facing bit of mountain just outside our village and I am fairly sure this is where he came from. He didn't seem very comfortable with humans and hissed at me when I came too close, but refused to leave when I tried to get him out
They sat together for three days in various different places around the courtyard.
When he wasn't looking she would adopt unusual positions, I suppose to make herself all beautiful for him?
On the third night he was crying outside the house so I let her out to join him, but there was a strange feeling, like I was letting my daughter out to lose her virginity! I watched them run off into the darkness together and I smiled.
The following day she waited for him in this plant pot but he never came back. I suspect this means he got what he wanted and we will never see him again.
But I am excited now for the possible future kittens!
And for our future figs which have already started growing :)
In other news I am flat out every day studying the fine art of trading. It doesn't leave much time for anything else and I want so much to go outside and play when the sun is shining but I am forcing myself to do this. By my estimation I would say we have only nine months left to take advantage of this bull market and I don't know about you guys but I intend to be loaded by the time it is done.
Measuring the activity of BTC pre 2014 it is possible using the trend based fib time tool to calculate future pivot points. Using this system (combined with a few others) you would have been able to predict the Dec 2017 top at the 2 extension. I am therefore looking at Dec 2021 as the top for this cycle, at the 4 extension.
While I don't think I will need too much money to build the kind of community I have in mind, having a bunch of it at my disposal certainly won't hurt and will afford me the ability to be more generous with others, potentially paying for their flights over here. Only the best people will be joining us.

Good luck with the trading. I don't believe in it myself, but I don't push my morals on other people. I do believe in saving, though, and I've got all the HIVE that I've ever earned (never spent any STEEM or HIVE). It's all in HIVE and all powered up, so all I can do is create content, hope to earn, and try to be part of building a better world. Great work never touching your steem/hive stash. I spent 90% of my steem back in 2017 and switched most of what I had left to hive. Someone asked me yesterday what I believed to be a good investment at this time and I had to say hive. I really do believe we have far to go here. Just wish I had more time to post regularly and interact with everyone.
I am imagining there must be something one can do to protect themselves from 5G? Perhaps some kind of material you could coat the walls with?
Metals like copper and aluminum offer some protection, but I don't have details (and not sure anyone really does). Also, if you aren't known to be "one of those crazy conspiracy theorists" before you start wallpapering with tinfoil, you will be after! ;P
My wife and I have a vision that either crypto or silver will do a x100, and land will get cheap at the same time (yeah right)... and we'll have our dream cottage homestead type place. Something to hold on to, anyway. BC has plenty of land but it has been made expensive. Also, owning land in the current world isn't easy for people like us, who have been getting less and less involved with the system for many years. We don't really have credit ratings anymore, or bank account, or even current IDs. We're getting kind of wild! Hehe.
Funny. We are banking on exactly the same thing! Around the end of this year would be perfect ;)

But yeah, we don't have many options currently, regarding hoping to save for a house. We were homeless for a couple years until 3 years ago when we landed an apartment in Vancouver's hot rental scene, and began to stabilize our health issues. We then got surprise pregnant (after 10 years together) - she wasn't supposed to be able to conceive due to all the spinal cancers and radiation she got as a child. But cannabis healed her and along came Brett, who is very healthy and happy.. but upended our lifestyle of activism in downtown Vancouver! We're in a little town, renting a little house. She gets disability support, which is enough to cover the rent and bills. I hope to grind my way up to being able to earn a small income online with my photography, videos, writing, and so on. I've been trying here for 4 years, and just in the last couple months routinely get posts in the $3 to $30 range, which is amazing. If I can get that up higher, and then also find a way to get those funds into a form I can spend on groceries, that would be a dream come true. Currently, the only way I can afford an ounce of silver, is if I skip dinner for a few weeks. So the plan of stacking enough to convert into a farm is certainly a longshot. The end of this year might be a little too early for me, unless silver goes above 2500 per ounce, then I'll have enough for something (if the price of land doesn't also go up).
Crypto, which I only started actively using in 2017 (despite advocating it since 2011 to my followers), might actually be more likely to do something for me. As I posted the other night, I'm up to 14000 in crypto net worth. I have no connection between the crypto and real world, so that has all been gained through payouts, tips, and trades. I've never "bought" crypto (with fiat). But I'm earning it at a decent pace right now. Maybe that 14k will be 140k by the end of the year, partly through nominal gains, and mainly through crypto bull market inflation? But then, how to turn that into land? I am unbanked, and will never use a smart device, so my options are severely limited. I have to hope that opportunities open up that are within my reach. I keep trying to envision it and look for others with a similar goal.

He certainly is a very handsome male, so exciting to think of kittens, the the kids will love them. i love the bed they made, children really benefit from having animals around them, such wonderful companions for them to grow up with. Don't call me for any trading advice quite yet! Am still making lots of mistakes and draining my BTC but caring much less about this in the knowledge other investments are doing just fine. I will master this eventually and then perhaps I will be feel better about offering specific trade advice :)
Your hive stash should go far towards dream financing. Steem increased x53 during the last bull run. So, no reason to expect anything less from hive during this one.
