Life is full of challenges, and that puts us in a situation where we have to choose what to do, so that we can have a balance in all our actions. Sometimes we think that because it is good it is ok for me, but not always is like that. Moderation in all we choose to do in life will ensure us exit. Some addictions are good and some are bad. It doesn't mean that because it is good you are going to do all you desire. Sometimes we want to scape from our daily realities, and we choose to take part in addictions that will keep us away from another things that are very important for our well being.

We have to find a balance between work, studies, family and recreation. If we dedicate too much time to one of them, we will suffer the consecuences of our decisions. Sometimes we don't see the consecuences inmediately. When we dedicate too much time to work it is for sure that family will suffer for our decisions. Divorces, children with drugs problems, delinquency etc.

Some addictions seem to be innocent, but if we don't realize how serious they are they will consume our happiness. When I had my children I felt so happy to stay at home looking after them. I did't have time for myself, sometimes when night arrived I realized I haven't had a bath. I was so happy doing my mother's role because I thought it was ok. My children were my addiction at that time. I did't study anymore, I didn't go to work though I was a very prepared lady.

When my children grew up I realized I didn't have much to do in my life. I can see my children completed very important roles in their lives, and that made me happy, but what about me. I didn't learn the lesson because I made another big mistake.

My second addiction was the investigation of family history. I spent practically the whole day sitting at the computer investigating names and organizing my family history. It wasn't bad , but one day I realized that my back was aching, my hands were arthritics, and I had to see a doctor. He gave me some advices, and since then I dedicate a moderate time to all my activities.

Now I am a student trying to obtain another degree in my life. I spend studying 9 to 12 hours weekly, Idedicate 2 hours to my family history and the rest to my family and to myself. We have to evaluate which are the addictions in our lives. Not always they are drugs, food, betting etc. Sometimes as I said they are very innocent adictions.
