Addiction arises from "habitual-ness" or constant indulgence in something. Now this things we've created a habit of getting overly indulgent in can be good or bad but then the repetitiveness makes it attain somewhat of a negative aura and then too much of something whether good or bad can have repercussions, either psychological, medical, or even physiologically. In life sometimes we get sucked into overly doing some things and in the moment we feel good about it. It brings us pleasurable feelings and sometimes these feelings makes us feel real, awake, conscious or even overly confident, sharp and superfluous and who doesn't like being the best version of themselves even if the futuristic consequences might threaten demise.

So What I'm i addicted to?

My addiction is to meat and I've been exposed to eating meat from age six. Truth is, eating meat is good for a child's development and due to this my father exposed me a lot to it and because of the excessive consumption I've grown up to see meat as an indispensable part of my meal so much that the health repercussions of it hardly seems to even matter to me. Most times I use to opt for beef, goat, lamb and sometimes chicken and along the line I've discovered that sometimes I would just head over the meat stores buy a sizeable amount of grilled meat and begin to eat it, then i buy it over and over again and at the end of the day I'd have spent 30% of my daily planned expense just to eat meat and honestly there's no underlying psychological satisfaction that I get from meat and it still baffles me as to why I keep eating it at the expense of my savings and health condition.

So how Does It Hinder Me?

The doctor has however said that my meat consumption can hardly do me any damage at the moment but then there might be cumulative high cholesterol level which can cause high blood pressure in the long run but the this depends if I eat fatty or lean meat. But then my meat addiction majorly hinders me and how is this?: Like I said earlier I find it difficult to save money, there's always this constant need to eat meat, I don't feel whole if I haven't, I know the futuristic repercussions wouldn't be so good but then at that moment all I want to do is to feel the fatty crunchy and spicy taste of flesh gradually crumbling in between my teeth and ahh that feeling that comes with having it is more than special. The fact that it hinders me from saving and pose a threat to my health condition is the more reason why I see it as a hindrance even if I can't seem to want to stop it at the moment.

Why Do People Have Addictive Tendencies In General?

Everyone is born with an addictive tendency. This tendency can be fed or starved and most times people choose to feed it rather than starve it. When we feed indulgences, attracted or drawn to continuously do something, that attraction at the beginning is an addictive tendency because in life, so many things will appeal to us whether good or bad and it's left for us to feed or starve it, by giving it attention or choosing to root it out in an early stage of their life. In my case I never dealt with my addiction when I became of age and because of this, it's become a full blown addiction. So everyone has an addictive tendency in life simply because there are things we'd be exposed to that'll appeal to us and there's a likelihood that be drawn to this things so they can come generally in the attitude and the habits we generally form as humans so along the line we'd form some special likeness which of course might result to addictiveness.

Why Do People Seem To Have More Addictive Personalities Than The Others?

In truth no one is meant to be additive more than another person. It's not in our cognitive abilities to display irregular and different tendencies. It depends on our exposure, experience and how we respond when we're faced with the the dilemma of having to fight hard to resist an addiction or choosing to nurture it by displaying nonchalantly. No addiction is good because everything we do in life needs to have a balanced proportion to it in reality, some people are more likely to be addicted to things more than others simply because of choices, choosing whether to listen to their impulses or not. While many people are firmer and aware, other are more flexible and ignorant. But then so many people have addictions that are not particularly threatening and this isn't that bad.
