Nowadays, some children leave their homes in the name of going to school but end up going somewhere else. Truancy is simply a state where children lie about attending classes when what they do is skip school. However, everything comes with a price. More explicitly, truancy is the act of shirking from responsibilities and duties – refers especially to school absentees. It is a fool's game because it only yields bad results.

Now, there were two siblings named Veronica and Charles. Veronica was a very good and studious girl and she usually did perform well in school. Whereas, Charles on the other hand was a lad who choosed to play the fool's game. He would always skipped classes just to go play video games on the street.

Oftentimes, Veronica would report him to their parents and he would be punished. That never deterred him from playing truancy. Because of this act, he would always find himself wanting during quizzes, tests and examination. This led to him always repeating classes while the sister would move ahead. This made him to begin hating the sister.

Each time Veronica would try to talk to him about not skipping classes, he would yell at her. So, she decided never to advice him and just him have his way. The parents too would advice him and beg him to take studies seriously for his future to be bright but he wouldn't yield.

After failing and repeating same class for many times, his father got fed and stopped paying his fees as he considered it a waste of resources. Meanwhile, Veronica graduated from Secondary school, sat for a University entry examination and passed in flying colours.

Charles was then left all by himself and he saw how he had wasted many years. He never knew the repercussions of his actions back then and now, he has to face the consequences. He had to begin indulging in menial and hard jobs and oftentimes, when he sees his friends, he'd run to hide. He became a laughing stock in his environs and this made him depressed that he considered committing suicide.
