Did you know the importance of this ability for children to develop emotionally healthy?

We will talk a little more about the vitality of children, its advantages for development and how to promote it in children.

Child Resilience

Not only adults experience traumatic moments with which it is difficult to live and / or overcome. Children also absorb and suffer the reality that surrounds them and, therefore, are also prone to experience such difficult times, pain and suffering.

However, since they are in early childhood, children are in the process of developing their language and expression skills, in addition to not being able to clearly express their feelings, they can still influence their development.

That is why it is so important to educate and maintain the resilience of children: yes, the ability to recover is not a natural human ability, even the genetic load transmitted from mother to child.

It can and should be taught and stimulated in such a way that this child can, thanks to his emotional capacity to transform and overcome himself, recover from trauma, pain and even situations of anxiety and insecurity and get out of this situation. Stronger than they entered.

Teach children resilience.

Follow these tips and learn to work on children's resilience.

1. School and family must work together

When developing child resilience, it is important that family and school come together to provide the child with a safe environment.

Place bets on games and reading to awaken a sense of belonging, and also reserve certain moments to really listen to what the child is saying.

In this process, the routine is indispensable. Only then will the child feel that he has control, as soon as he can understand and predict what will happen during the day. In this way, they can design and plan their own actions.

2. Praise the effort and increase self-esteem.

Build a space where the child feels valuable and recognized for his efforts and dedication.

However, praise positively about creativity, good performances and efforts to complete tasks.

Finally, reinforce the idea that failure is part of learning and should be seen as an opportunity to do it again and better.

3. Betting on examples

Imagine the stories of real or fictional characters who have overcome difficulties in their path.

In the lessons, it is important to work with children, helping them to reflect on the difficulties they have overcome, learn, help along the way, etc.

Encourage children to share their stories and realize their ability to overcome obstacles in real life.

4. Teach empathy

Parents can help their children strengthen themselves emotionally by teaching them the importance of helping others.

Therefore, the child can overcome the false feeling that he cannot do anything and that another person's problem does not concern him, feeling important and valuable in the life of another person.

Volunteer work and the creation of charity campaigns in the classroom are excellent forms of empathy.

5. Promote positivity.

Stimulating a positive attitude towards problems is a way to help your child face problems optimistically and get rid of the feeling of panic that paralyzes him.

Show that there will always be difficulties, but after them life goes on. Use stories that illustrate this dynamic and convey examples of positivity against failure.

Thank you very much @roseri for sharing this insight to our community @education.
Indeed, developing the attitude or ability of resilience in our kids is one of the things that every parents should look out for in their children because it has an lasting effect in the growth and personality.
I would like to quote a phrase/sentence from your write up which really inspires and gets my attention as teacher.

When developing child resilience, it is important that family and school come together to provide the child with a safe environment.

It is sad to know that that in a society such as ours, most parent do not have time for their kids. They tend to leave the work load to the teachers and school alone, thereby leaving the future of the kids in jeopardy.
Thanks once again for the share. Hope you don't mind if I share it to my facebook and twitter handle.

It was worth the read.
