Qualities of a teacher

Teaching is imparting knowledge and a good teacher must possess certain basic qualities: These qualities include:

• Sound professional preparation
• Ability to face challenges
• Interest in pupils and in the job

• Procession of a thorough knowledge of the subject matter and related subjects.
• Ability to express himself clearly in good language.
• Improving himself by being up to date in his field.
• Devoting time and effort to the improvements of his profession.

• Possession of good judgement, logical reasoning and co operation with others.
• Getting familiar with the needs, interests and capabilities of both normal and typical children.
• Having good management skills and class control
• Willingness to share his knowledge with others
• Having a robust health

Social traits include

• Possession of good public relations
• Being cheerful, friendly, tolerant, understanding, sympathetic
• Possession of stable emotion.
