Entry behaviour: The pupils might have seen how a word processor is.
Introduction/presentation: The teacher commences the by defining what a word processor is.
Step 1: Definition of a word processor
A word processor is an application program specially designed for creating, editing, formatting, storing and printing documents.
Step 2: Examples of a word processor
Examples of a word processor are:
- Microsoft office word
- Open office writer
- Word pad
- Notepad
- Corel Wordperfect
- Microsoft works
- Sun star office
- Professional write
- Multimate advantage
Step 3: Advantages of a word processor
- Corrections can easily be made on your work
- You can save your work and come back to it later
- You can import data from a database or spreadsheet and use it to create a mail merge.
- You can make use of many features available with the software e.g borders, text layout.
- You can make use of the tools e.g spell checker, grammar checker to improve the correctness of tour document.
- You can edit your work as many times as you like. You can save different versions and go back to the previous one.
Summary/Conclusions: The teacher runs the lesson from the first step till the last.
Evaluation: The teacher ask the pupils questions to test their level of understanding.
