The Benefits And Disadvantages Of Homeschooling
Every parent would want to make their child have a good formal education. They will continue to support their children's education from the lowest level to the highest level of education so that their children can succeed in getting knowledge. However, not all parents can freely choose the school for their child.
There are some parents who are forced to provide education to their children not formally, rather through homeschooling or studying at home. The cause of homeschooling is not because of the busyness of the parents, but because of the busyness of the children, or because the child has physical limitations, or the child has a certain disease, or because the school is very far from home.
I would like to describe some of these impacts so that parents can give wise before implementing homeschooling education for your child.
Positive impact of homeschooling.
Efficient and Flexible
Learning time is more flexible with a comfortable study time and place, the material provided by the teacher in the homeschooling process is always tailored to the needs of the child, different from the school that chases the target. This learning model is more efficient because it follows and is in accordance with the capacities and abilities of the child.Accommodating special study times.
Usually, homeschoolers are children who are busy, for example, athletes who have to travel to compete. They do not have to miss lessons in school by utilizing the homeschool learning method, because they can organize and schedule study time at any time.Provide a fun learning space.
Because the homeschool learning process is carried out at home or in a location that is very familiar to children, so they won't be awkward during the learning process because around them is a familiar atmosphere. So they will be very easy to adapt so that every lesson they get will be easily accepted.
Negative impact.
It's hard to socialize.
Indeed, children who do homeschool already have high flying hours because of their busy life. However, if they continue to homeschool, then what happens is they will find it difficult to socialize with new people, they meet in life. Passionate new people and different hobbies with them. They will not have the opportunity to interact with many people of varied character.Difficult to adapt when entering public school
Not always the child will do the homeschool program, at a certain moment or after their busyness is unlike before, they will study and enter public schools. Now, this is what is feared, when they enter public school, children usually find it difficult to adapt. This is not only experienced by homeschooling children but also experienced by many children who change schools. The difference is, homeschooling children have a slightly more difficult level of adaptation.
So, those are some of the positives and negatives of the homeschool program. Hopefully, it can be a reference for parents and students before choosing to homeschool.

Some interesting thoughts here. If you don't mind I'd like to add some more thoughts.
As a homeschooling parent I can actually say that those two negatives are, in my opinion, myths. Socialising has never been a problem for us. The opportunities are everywhere, unless you're physically isolated, in which case it's going to be hard anyway.
My daughters are both very different and one has always struggled socially, both in schools and out, whereas the other has always taken social situations into her stride. She was actually more popular when she went back into school after homeschooling for some years than when she was in school before homeschooling. So I think it really defends on the child as to whether they will struggle going into the school system after homeschooling.
Many universities actually say that homeschooled children handle university better than most who have been through the school system, because it's more self guided learning.
This is a really interesting conversation topic. I'll reblog it to the HomeEdders group.
thank you for reading and blogging my article. I write this article from the viewpoints and figures that I observe in my environment.
there may be a slight difference with. and your comments really provide new insights for me.
Always good to get different viewpoints. 😊
I think your negatives are edge cases :) A lot of the busy-ness associated with homeschooling involves probably a lot more socialising than the average schoolkid would get (though because of the different types and intensity of tyhis socialisation, most people probably don't recognise it as such). The biggest problems I've had with socialising is balancing my kids different social needs XD
Adapting can be a problem depending on the child in question. My daughter chose to try out high school last year and adapted really well (her teachers described her as a "perfect student"), however I ended up pulling her out as she had some problems with bullies and wouldn't tell names so the teachers couldn't sort it out and she ended up refusing to go even though she kept insisting that she still wanted to go.
My boys on the other hand are probably going to be one of those edge cases and wouldn't cope if they had to go for whatever reason XD
