Today i will share some information regarding the topics of fluid mechanics. Fluid mechanics is the branch of science or engineering which deals with the behaviour of fluid at rest or at the motion. Fluid mechanics is one of the main subject of engineering . In this post i will tell you about the surface tension, capillary and viscosity.

Surface tension in fluid mechanics is the tensile force acting on the surface of the fluid when it is in contact with the another fluid or open to the air. When the fliud element is in contact with the other fluid the unbalanced forces occurring on the wall of the fluid element and causes the surface in the tension.

Capilary rise is the phenomenon of the rise of the fluid element in the small tube when the tube is help in the fluid related to the adjacent level of the water. When the tube in put in the water the fluid raises beyond the initial leavel of fluid .capillary fall is the phenomenon when the water level in the tube decreases when it is put in the water.

Viscosity is defined as the force of friction which opposes the movement of the fluid . The viscosity did not allow the fluid to move. Viscosity is the force of friction between the two layers of the fluid which didn't allow the movement of one layer over the other. There are two viscosity one is kinematic viscosity and the dynamic viscosity.
