Learning Life Skills Through Cleaning

Regardless of which part of the world we are in, most students have to clean their own tables and keep the classrooms clean.

Cleaning becomes part of the routine in most schools and it is one of the many ways to infuse life skills in our students.

Through cleaning, students learn about responsibility even in little ways and how it is important to work with others for a common goal in keeping the classroom clean.

During my school recesses, students had to ensure the canteen tables were clean before they proceed back to their classrooms.

Students can also learn to appreciate the school attendants that help to keep the school clean.

They get to learn that everyone has a part to play in this society.
