Learning Behind Our Masks

When the nation declared an official lockdown with school being closed and students had to learn from home, many teachers had to find ways to engage their students so that learning did not stop.

I must agree that it was harder to teach through google meet or zoom since it can hard for kids to give their attention when we are not physically watching them.

Many teachers went out of their comfort zones and explored different online teaching aids and resources that they had never tried before so that they were able to teach more effectively online.

When schools reopened again, it was no longer the same and everyone had to get used to wearing a mask.

It was hard for teachers to speak clearly in their classes with a mask so many of them started to use microphones.

We may be teachers but we had to learn in ways to enable us to teach our students effectively regardless of the unexpected circumstances.
