Be Original
I came across a videoclip by a popular local producer in Singapore that someone had copied his production and posted on youtube.
Copying content of others is really bad. We do know that Hive platform is against plagiarism.
It is actually not difficult to create our own original content.
Even a selfie now on Hive platform can get some support if it is well taken.

Jiaohao’s channel had posted ‘16 Types of students on Picture Day’ on 3 March 2019 which is more than a year ago with more than 20 million viewers. There were 255k likes and 9.2k dislikes at the point while I am preparing this post.

123 Go Channel had posted ‘Types Of Students On Picture Day’ on 19 April 2020 which is only about two months ago with more than 13 million viewers. It has 112k likes and 127k dislikes at the point while I am preparing this post.

From the above two videoclips for Picture Day, I still prefer the one produced by Jiaohao’s channel.
They were able to have their original voices while 123 Go Channel was using voice over throughout the videoclip.
I also found out that 123 Go Channel later edited its description that the videoclip was inspired by JianHao’s production after many commenters highlighted the copied content.
Social media is really powerful so copied content will be not be entertained by most people.
There is a high risk of losing the reputation that one has established after spending so much time posting personal created content.
There are many new opportunities with new communities on Hive platform. There is really no need to copy content of others.
Be original and produce our own content will go a long way.

Plagiarism is frowned upon and can lead to legal ramifications, even on a platform like Hive
If Plagiarism is proved then the fine can be quite severe.
It is easy to prove the original content, so those that use that content and claim as there own beware
Plagiarism is when an idea is taken from someone else and claimed as your own.
Always acknowledge original creators
Appropriation is a different kettle of fish :)
Seeing a good idea and then replicating that with difference is what is known as Appropriation. and is used in all mediums available
We should not copy indeed. If they do copy a few sentences, they should acknowledge the original like what you had shared.
