Today we are going to do a listening test.  Now in order to do a listening test you will have to sit very still and listen to the story.

Concentrate as much as you can and do not let yourself be distracted.

• Listen to the video - you may only  listen to it once.
• Answer the questions to the best of your ability.
• Once you are done with the test, you may watch the video and fill in any answers you have missed the first time.

Now try and answer as many questions as you can

1. What is the name of this story?
2. Did the mother have a son or daughter frog?
3. What did he do that was wrong?
4. What was the first thing she warned him about and what happened because he did not listen?
5. Why was the mother upset?
6. What happened to the mother frog one day?
7. What did she say the son must do if she died.
8. What did the son realize?
9. What did he want to do for the last time?
10. Why do green frogs cry whenever it rains?

For the second part of this lesson you are going to choose any story from a book that you can read to yourself or a video that you can watch.

1. In a few sentences you are going to write down what the story is about.  This is called making a summary.  Use your own words and make sure you tell the story in the correct order.
2. You can also draw a picture that fits your summary.
3. Think before you write and watch your spelling.
