Cinetv asked this on Twitter today and seemed like the perfect opportunity for a quick shitpost!

Well it's hard to pick one but if I had to, it would probably be the one from The Rock (1996) staring Sean Connery, Nicolas Cage and Ed Harris.

It gave me goosebumps the first time I heard it. It still does 26 years later. A true masterpiece. Enjoy:

It's just so epic!

If you haven't watched the movie do yourself a favor and watch it. They don't make movies like that anymore.

The movie was great, but there are much better soundtracks.

I don’t have a favorite. But here are a few that I think are fantastic. The Crow, Pulp Fiction, Purple Rain, The Bodyguard.

The sound is definitely epic, reminds me of those tunes used in ancient Korean drama. My favourite would definitely be from Merlin. Almost all the sound tracks are gracious

Ok, I agree, this is one epic track! I didn't know it, or probably just didn't recognize it from a movie but I totally agree. Awesome pick!

Zimmer fell from my favourite movie composer ever, to whatever the opposite of that is, after Dune.

Loved the movie but it was kind of destroyed by the relentless zimmerism over-usage of the harmonic minor/arabic scales with big BOOOMSSS constantly. If I hear an arabic scale one more time I think I might pay a hitman to put an end to it once and for all.

Ooo, this is a fun topic, but so hard to pick just one. When I was a record buying “tween” (mid to late 1980’s) I was all about buying movie soundtrack albums. Top Gun was probably my favorite. But Beverly Hills Cop 2 was great, Pretty in Pink… Growing up in Seattle the “Say Anything” soundtrack fully captures the 1990’s grunge/alt sound that was everywhere during high school/college. The Star Wars* soundtrack is forever iconic and nostalgic. Then a few years ago I was really obsessed with the Twilight Soundtrack for a minute. 😬 🤣😂

I like the synth stuff on the Drive SoundTrack. I’d say High Fidelity has a cool soundtrack
