Uniquely Hive Posts

(Edited)

I have joined Steem platform on 15 December 2017 and it was the place where I started to write articles and blog about different subjects.

Many of us on Hive cannot deny that Steem does have a special place in our hearts since most of us started from there.

Things that happen may have made our hearts feel cold but we still hope for a miracle which seems a bit far to reach.

I have recently read a post by @arcange who shared about his feeling about dual posting of similar article on both Steem and Hive which many of us are doing it including myself.

His post definitely ignited reactions especially when he mentioned about the possibility of him downvoting those who are posting identical articles on both platforms.

He later did another post to share that he was not trying to threaten anyone but it was probably just a thinking aloud at the moment of time which I believe he probably will not do it since he is a nice guy with lots of contributions to both Steem and now Hive.

Below is the post he made to apologize.

Regardless of this, it did get me to make a decision.

I have decided to post articles that are uniquely for Hive alone from today onwards.

I have just designed a banner using the existing hive banner and inserted the words ‘Uniquely Hive Post’ that anyone can use if you are only posting on Hive platform alone. (Not sure whether it makes a difference with this banner of declaration)

This can be a nice way to tell our readers that we are posting our original articles only on Hive platform.

I have been more active on Hive than any platforms now so it makes sense not to repost my original articles on other platforms but reserve only for Hive since Hive has ignited a new passion and hope in many of us.

This does not mean that I will no longer be posting on Steem but I will create other content like my ROR gaming updates that I have recently started playing.

My main content related to education will be posted on the Hive platform. Educational posts are the ones that I spend the most time creating since I am an educator.

This will definitely mean that the content that I spend the most time creating will be posted on Hives alone.

I guess uniquely for Hive articles will be more valuable and appreciated by others since these articles can only be found on the Hive platform.

I am not making decision for anyone else as I am not against cross posting but I am simply sharing my thought via this short post after reading the post by @arcange.

@arcange does have an influence with his posts so I hope he is happy that his post has made a change in at least a humble content creator like me.

Thanks for reading if you have read this post to the end.

I used to cross post to Steem for a while but I have stopped about a month ago. The main reason is that I find it's difficult to keep up with engaging users from both platforms.

I just post on Hive now and it's much more manageable.

Thanks for passing by to share your thought. It is nice to have fellow Singaporeans active on the platform. I think we are the rare minority here! 🤓

Haha.. I think we are already a rare enough minority by the fact that we are on Hive

It is my choice indeed but your post indirectly leads me into this decision since I am definitely more serious about Hive than any other platform. Not cross posting is a good way to support Hive. Thanks for your visit, support and comment!
