Greetings to the dancers, here I am, joining this initiative of @dimeshana of the choreographies that move the floor just by watching them. Since my childhood I have liked to dance, I was in dance schools and in various academies, today I am a dance teacher.

I haven't been dancing for two years due to my surgical interventions, but I'm taking up the steps again little by little because my body is asking me to 😄😅.

Getting into the topic of the post, I begin.

Entrando en el tema del post, comienzo.

Britney Spears and Backstreet Boys

From a very young age I admired his movements and steps, I came to imitate them many times and as at that time I was studying high school art, together with my classmates we started to dance, we repeated his various choreographies, to the point of convincing the drama teacher to use one of his songs in the play. At that time they were modern, 😂😂 that is, 20 years ago 😜.

From the fusion between dance and theater, the teacher agreed to do the intro of the play with the everybody choreography of the Backstreet boys, at that time we practiced for months and it was a spectacular premiere, and we received several invitations to do the show. Those were good times.

Dancing with me

We are going to this Caribbean rhythm, that the famous Chayanne made us dance to the rhythm of salsa romántica. Of the many times I could enjoy with a super successful dancer friend, who many times made me leave the sole on the dance floors when I went to theater festivals, since the whole night was to dance, but it was only salsa of the various rhythms from the soft to the brava. 💃🕺

STREET DANCE

When I saw this film I was shocked how two worlds were merged and at such a level that at first was not accepted by the various academies, but thanks to this example shows once again that dance gives a beautiful turn in all areas.

Classical ballet is one of the dances with more discipline and urban dance is more free, this choreography is amazing, the euphoria of the people to see something out of the ordinary and that in the end had good acceptance.

STEP UP

To talk about the Step up series is to talk about the first to the fifth, because they all marked a great trend in their choreographies, as they took dance to another level in its various rhythms, to create protests from the movement, join forces, discipline, harmony and elegance in each step.

All these dancers showed us that dance is lived at every moment, wherever you are.

To close I want to show you these last videos in honor of this great dancer.

How not to adore him, Adan Sevani, better known as Moose from the step up series, made us vibrate, move, laugh at his witticisms and even his disasters, he managed to get the best out of dance.

An incredible talent, that many times made me imitate him, although I admit that urban dance is not my forte, but I did some workshops to experiment and get out of my comfort zone. As dancers we must learn different rhythms because we do not know when we are going to implement it.

Today my son is fascinated by this rhythm, I hope someday he will be like Moose, but I leave him free to decide.

Great post! thanks so much for sharing. You pose a good question to me- which is my favourite choreography. Something I've never really thought about, but now I will be!

I danced every night for many years- usually out at nightclubs and drunk...but I danced my arse off and then in 2010 after I had my first heart attack I gave up drinking, smoking and dancing just followed.

The this time last year in our first lockdown I rediscovered dancing (in my loungeroom for fitness) and pretty much haven't stopped since, although I can't dance as much now as I could then due to life...BUT I actually find it hard to walk. My legs wobble instead of walking in a straight line and I realise that's cause all they want to do now is DANCE!

So for now, my favourite style and choreography is freestyle to all kinds of music from around the world!

And the past few days I have been creating my own playlist of songs on spotify that my body just needs to dance to, so I will share that with you and maybe we can dance with each other from one side of the world to the other!
