Hive creative contest: 4 Cheese Veggie Platter

Cheese is basically happiness you can melt!!! 🧀

I was so excited to see that this week's contest by @foodiesunite and @zord189 had to feature cheese, as I indulge on cheese every single day! Everything is better with cheese!🧀

🧀I believe that because of my Dutch heritage, I have a habit of lavishing cheese on almost everything I eat and after a long week, we were in the mood for some yummy snacks, without standing in front of the stove the whole afternoon! I prepared stuffed jalapenos, cheesy mushrooms and fried up mint haloumi as well.

###### Blue cheese, cheddar, cream cheese and bacon stuffed Jalapenos

I discovered these lovely fresh jalapenos from our local grocer, it is such a versatile chili, not too hot, but very flavorsome!🌶 I halved them and scraped out the pits, to make little jalapeno boats.

I love the strong taste of blue cheese, I mixed in a bit of cream cheese in, stuffed the jalapeno boats with it, and topped with cheddar and bacon bits. 🥓

######Garlic, cream cheese and cheddar stuffed mushrooms

🧀These gorgeous mushrooms are large enough to lather loads of cream cheese and garlic on them. 🧄🧄 There is no such thing as too much cheese!

I threw over a generous helping of cheddar cheese as well and seasoned with ground salt and pepper.🧂

Cooking instructions:

Pop the mushrooms and jalapenos in the oven to for 20mins on a medium heat, grilling at the end to let the cheese sizzle! 🔥🔥

###### Air fried haloumi sticks

I love using an air fryer, it takes no oil, but makes the haloumi crispy and brings out all the yummy flavor! I fried the haloumi for 10mins at 200C until crispy and a golden brown color. Haloumi pairs very well with a sweet dipping sauce, like a sweet chili sauce. 🌶

And voila! We have a late Sunday afternoon cheese and veggie snack plate to enjoy and perfect to pair with a glass of red wine! 🍷🍷 Quick and easy to prepare, but with awesome flavors and fresh veggie goodness!!
