Homemade mayonnaise for my burger and fries

20201210_154048.jpg

A few years back I stopped buying mayo and started making my own. About once a week I make a jar of it that I eat with just about every meal. I really love mayonnaise, to the point it grosses some people out.

20201209_154845.jpg

I find making my own tastes more fresh and it's made just the way I like it. Using little avacado oil and mostly olive oil and farm fresh eggs I have never found anything as tasty.

20201209_155032.jpg

Using a cup of oil I mix it with eggs, spices, apple cider vinegar and some hot sauce it comes out as a great condiment.

20201209_155130.jpg

Our eggs come from a local farm and are not bleached. I need to use them more but when I make my mayonnaise I use three of them.

20201209_155404.jpg

Using garlic powder, onion powder, pepper and salt make it tasty. But the soul of the mayonnaise comes from some very spicy hot sauce. I only use a little over a teaspoon of it but that's all I need for great taste. And gives the sauce quite the kick.

20201209_155440.jpg

I add everything but the oil to an immersible blender container.

20201209_155505.jpg

Its hard to show the next step as I need both hands to blend it. But I start blending and then slowly pour in the oil. Pouring slow is very important. Also the eggs need to lose their chill if they were kept in the fridge.

20201209_155942.jpg

It comes out pretty thick but will get more saucy when placed in the refrigerator and chilled.

20201209_155959.jpg

Putting it all in a mason jar I seal it and it's ready to add to my favorite meals.

20201210_153918.jpg

Today I baked some French fries and grilled some burgers so i added some to the bun and to a little dish for dipping my fries in.

20201210_153924.jpg

The consistency came out perfect, sometimes it comes out a little runny when I do not let the eggs lose their chill. But this time around it came out perfect.

Should last me another week before I make some more.

Hope @movement19 likes it. He asked me to make a new post on my mayo making project.

My home made mayo never turns out very well...bugger.
I do a great brown sauce, though!

The secret is using power tools. My immersion blender is what makes it work so well.

Hah! Well the raw eggs is something to be concerned about, but when using the immersion blender it cooks them somewhat and probably makes it safe. I have yet to get any food poisonings from eating them this way. And I have been doing this for a few years now so I think it would have happened.

Please remove me from your autodownvote system, I am posting my own words. Also inform @buildawhale as well to do the same.

Seems pretty dumb to be demanding that by zeroing out his posts.

Isn't that what is automatically happening to mine? My friends are protecting me. No one likes to be auto-downvoted, if you're going to do it, at-least manually.

Nothing about you is ever done "automatically". Trust me.

Every thing I create is by hand, I'm not using a bot, and they are my words. I have of incorrectly used dialog from a toy description before with some source indicated, but posts are hand written.

I just went and took a look at your post and if you are moving to Blurt... why make a fuss here?? It seems you have burned a few bridges that can’t be rebuilt...

Yes, I was upset because of the autodown voting and got emotional. But I'd like to give Hive another try, in my last post I have a rebirth.

So if you can please remove this auto downvote, you will see great content, I am also very supportive to my friends here. You can monitor and contact me with any potential issues.

I am a friendly person just trying to enjoy Hive with friends, and I will be professional and follow all guidelines.

I didn't autodownvote you??? So I can't remove it. Sorry about that but maybe you can tell your "friends" to remove their from this post? Just an idea to help bury the hatchet.

@hiveyoda

My downvote was intentional. And was not part of a downvote trail or any auto vote service.

I downvoted you because you have farmed low quality posts and seem to continue to do so.

Well then I apologize(if that's true), but on all my posts you downvoted me, so you can see where it seems like a autobot.

I haven't been active on Hive for months, and each time you have downvoted me, you can see how this seems like an auto behavior. Also your downvote came identically to the 4 other downvotes, which also seems like a bot.

I don't see you are following me, so I'm not sure how you would always see my content.

In any event I am kindly asking for a change of pace.

I keep an eye on all Hive users that have been caught doing shady activities in the past. So when I saw your post come up it just seems like more of the normal 60 word post with little to no content in it. Seeing it get upvoted I disagreed with the rewards so I downvoted.

Now by trying to strong arm me into removing my downvote that just reinforces my beliefs you are trying to get a pass for posting like you are. And I will not stand for it.

I reviewed why people were downvoting you, and by doing double posts and covering it up by trying to delete them is frowned upon. I see you have deleted two posts within a week which is not normal.

Removed my downvotes from your other posts, but if you keep double posting expect my downvotes to return.

WOW.
But I thought they banned making mayonnaise (and so the dressing for Caesars Salad) from upasteurized eggs. My information must be outdated, hahaha! !

Hah banned? Maybe from store bought stuff but since I make my own I have the freedom to do it my way. I have never gotten sick by the raw eggs and I think by using the blender it tends to cook them.

Yeah using the blender makes alot of friction against the eggs and oils and I suspect that is how the eggs and oil turn into more of a sauce instead of a runny liquid. Maybe I am wrong but I think the blender heads up the mix just enough to cook it a little.. then again maybe not.. haha well I just have never gotten sick from it so I think I am doing it right. We get farm raised eggs and all, good quality produce.
