Stewed White Fish in Sour Soup

Let us prepare a simple dish today of white fish. You can use any white fish for this dish.

I harvested Green Beans from my garden. To use it, I will make Stewed White Fish in sour-soup. It is a dish I'm sure you will love!

This is a straightforward recipe that is easy to prepare.

  • Heat to boiling the 2 to 3 cups broth with tamarind soup mix.
  • Add onions, tomatoes, and radish. Bring to a boil.
  • Then add the fish (any kind), seasoned with salt and pepper.

  • Bring to a boil the third time.
  • Finally add the rest of the vegetables.

Serve while it is hot!

This dish is very simple!
It is basically the same as any stewed white fish (in fact you can add shrimps that it will taste as delicious).
Other dishes of the same kind uses white wine, well this is a twist... tamarind.
I learned how to use tamarind soup mix from a friend, who learned it from her Mom!
Thanks for checking it out, @franconav!

Omg, mouth-watering! Any meal with fish in it, I'm all for it!

Thanks for sharing this recipe. It seems easy and straightforward. Would it be okay to chop the ingredients to smaller pieces? I think I might enjoy that way.

Nicely done! 😊

Hi @kemmyb.
Absolutely! Chop away!
There are vegetables that go together... like in this dish you can use the vegetables above, which are tomatoes, onions, radish, eggplant, beans (any of the four types of beans), and spinach. But you should not use red peppers, or cabbage, or carrots. You can use any leafy vegetable that you would normally use for cooking stew, like swamp cabbage.
I am glad you like it! 😊
