Sunday lunch!
Today we had a delicious beef stew with fries!!
I tried something new with the fries this time, I had the idea to sprinkle fine semolina, paprika, salt and garlic powder before frying. They became extra crispy!
And the went so well with the tomato sauce and the grated hard cheese (kefalotyri) on top!
My meat was sautéed in olive oil with a big chopped onion and one piece of garlic, then "douched" with some balsamic vinegar and soy sauce. Once they evaporated, I added some mustard, salt, pepper, smoked paprika, a pinch of curry, 5 balls of all spice, one bay leaf and 6 tablespoons of homemade tomato sauce. I let the meat cook in the pressure cooker with two glasses of water and in less than an hour it was ready. My sauce was a little watery, so I helped it thicken with a tablespoon of cornstarch. The result was mouthwatering!
Slices of cucumber and carrot for a salad, feta cheese and a spicy feta cheese spread on the side to complete the Sunday feast and we 're ready to dig in!
Bon appetit!
