Pondok Makan Sarbana - Delicious Near Sea Restaurant at Tanjungpinang

Hi everyone, let me thank you for all the support you give me all this time, thank you very much.

This day I just finished my job at Tanjungpinang, Kepulauan Riau. Because everything is done, maybe writing about some food is not a bad idea right?

The menu today is seafood, a fresh one because the restaurant I visited is just right near the sea.

The restaurant name is “Pondok Makan Sarbana”, located at Sultan Sulaiman Street Kampung Bulang, east Tanjungpinang. If you want to know the exact location you can find it at Google Maps, just type the keyword and locate it.

It took us about ten minutes to go to the restaurant from “Plaza Hotel” using the car. There are three people in the car which are me, my boss, and a guest from LKPP (National Public Procurement Agency).

As we arrived at the restaurant, the waiters hand us the menu. After a while, we decided to order four menus which are Black Squid, fried shrimp, cah kangkung, and the local specialty of Tanjungpinang, GongGong.

From a glance, it doesn’t look delicious at all because the sauce color is black, literally black. The sauce is cooked from the squid ink itself with a special ingredient. Honestly, I don’t want to eat it at all at first, but because I saw my boss eat it like it so delicious, I’m curious to try a bit, just a bit.

But damn, it really delicious. The sauce may be black in color, but the flavor is so damn good.
The squid ink itself is so yummy and fresh. It just a few hours ago that the squid sell by the local fisherman to the restaurant. The squid is so chewy, that makes you want to chew it more and more and more you can swallow it.

The second menu that we order is the special food from Tanjungpinang, which is GongGong (dog conch). But I forget to take the picture up close, you can check it in the photo below, the food near my boss’s right hand.

The next food is Cah Kangkung (stir-fried water spinach), this is the menu that I personally ordered. I love the taste especially if the water spinach half cooked. Love to bite and chew it.

And the last menu is the fried shrimp with flour, this menu is not that special, you can find it maybe on any seafood restaurant, but the shrimp is so fresh and you know when the food is fresh, you can enjoy the food more.

Almost forget that you can order the drinks too, eating while not drinking is killing you hahaha. You can order ice tea, hot tea, hot coffee, ice coffee, lemon juice, hot lemon, etc, I can’t list all the drinks and I forgot to take the menu picture, Sorry hehe.

Okay, I think that’s all that I can share, maybe someday we can eat at this restaurant together, yeah maybe someday.
