INGREDIENTES
1 pechuga de pollo
3 papas medianas
2 zanahorias
1 cebolla mediana
2 tomates medianos
3 ajíes dulces
1 rama de cilantro
1 rama de cebollín
1 cabeza de ajo
Comino molido
Aceite
Pimienta y sal
PASO A PASO

Greetings dear Hivers, lovers of eating and cooking.
Today I bring you a dish from the everyday Venezuelan cuisine, the much-prized Pollo a la Jardinera (Chicken a la Jardinera).
This is one of the typical meals of my country that leaves no one bad, even amateur cooks who do not like to complicate, can be guaranteed success at your table.
The recipe like all typical food is passed from generation to generation, I remember my grandmother's seasoning, she used to add vanitas, my mother used to add petit-pois (peas),
But as some ingredients have disappeared from our pantries, it is possible that, as in my case, we prepare it without these ingredients. What we must not lose is our culinary tradition, so without further ado, let's start with this simple and delicious recipe.
INGREDIENTS
1 chicken breast
3 medium potatoes
2 carrots
1 medium onion
2 medium tomatoes
3 sweet peppers
1 branch of cilantro
1 branch of chives
1 head of garlic
Ground cumin
Oil
Pepper and salt
STEP BY STEP
Cut the chicken breast in medium pieces.
Season with salt and pepper and let it season while cutting the rest of the ingredients.
In a pot or cauldron place oil that barely covers the bottom and heat.
Add the chicken pieces to seal, it is not about frying the chicken, it is about forming a golden layer so we turn it over and over, this will guarantee that the chicken pieces do not fall apart.
Add the seasoning cut in julienne strips and let it fry for a couple of minutes.
Add the potatoes and carrots cut in not very thin slices and add a cup of chicken or vegetable broth, add salt and cover, lower the flame to medium heat and let it cook until the potatoes and carrots are cooked.
Ready the Chicken a la Jardinera accompanied with white rice. Of course the fried slices of ripe plantains should not be missing, but we ate them for breakfast, hahahaha.
Dear friends of the beehive, come on and prepare this delicious dish that enriches the culinary heritage of Venezuela.
