Good morning Foodies I hope you're having a gastronomically wonderful experience over the week. We've recently moved a little further out west in Melbourne's West to what is referred to as the Growth Zone. A large parcel of land, formerly wheat farmers and Canola farms dominated this area but has since changed to residential zoning to support the booming migration to Victoria from across the world and country.

Lil Miss 3 and I have been on foot exploring all the new sights and venus and slowly making our way around the neighbourhood. There is so much on offer all within walking distance.

Today lil Miss 3 and I explored the wonderful Bella Vista Cafe which also has a fully licensed bar making it the perfect location to pull up for an afternoon beer. Although we tried their breakfast menu and lil miss 3 is a lil young for a beer but it is something we will be exploring in the distant future.

I opted for the traditional bacon and eggs on sour dough toast lightly butters. The bacon used is maple glazed bacon. Not my favourite as sometimes I find it can be too heavily drowned in maple syrup. But it was just the right amount. The eggs were perfectly scrambled and cooked and not to heavy with the cream. The accompanying salad was beautiful on the pallet.

Lil Miss 3 took the liberty of ordering her own breakfast, she opted for bacon and eggs on toast but no eggs or toast. I held in my chuckle as the waitress responded with "So just a plate of bacon" to lil miss 3's delight she responded Yes!!! Yummy!.

I washed down breakfast with a cuppachino, the blend used it Vittoria Coffee, it is a stronger more slightly bitter coffee and depending on the barrister they can get it right or horribly wrong. Nothing worse than a burnt coffee. Happy to report it was to perfection and the bitterness of the coffee balanced out the maple glazed bacon.

We also purchased two bacon and egg rolls take away as mum and nan were awaiting their food at home.

The venue is extremely well priced. Bacon and eggs on toast, plate of bacon, two bacon and egg rolls, a baby chino and a cuppachino totalling $40.00. Where we resided previously this would have cost us atheist $55 - $60.

I can't wait to come back and try dinner, of course dinner will be washed down with a cold beer.

Happy Friday everyone!
