[ESP/ENG] A sweet temptation: homemade Dulce de leche

Hola hola hiveramigos, el día de hoy quería compartir con ustedes la receta de una merienda deliciosa (Donas o mini donas) pero decidí primero mostrarles como elaborar su propio dulce de leche o arequipe como le dicen en mi país, para luego cubrir las donas, para las cuales realizaré un proximo post.

Hi hi hi hiveramigos, today I wanted to share with you the recipe for a delicious snack (Donuts or mini donuts) but I decided first to show you how to make your own dulce de leche or arequipe as they say in my country, and then cover the donuts, for which I will make a future post.


Ésta receta es super fácil de hacer, excelente para degustar tambien con galletitas, pan, y hasta para decorar y/o rellenar una torta.

This recipe is super easy to make, excellent to taste also with cookies, bread, and even to decorate and / or fill a cake.

Ingredientes:

  • 1 lt de leche (Puedes usar leche en polvo, leche líquida pasteurizada o puedes hacerlo como yo, con leche de vaca)
  • 200 grs de azucar
  • 1/2 cdta de bicarbonato de sodio.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lt of milk (You can use powdered milk, pasteurized liquid milk or you can do it like me, with cow's milk).
  • 200 grs of sugar
  • 1/2 tsp of baking soda.

Procedimiento:

• En una olla colocar la leche el azúcar y el bicarbonato y dejar que hierva. Dejarlo cocinar por 1 hora y 30 minutos aproximadamente, revolviendo constantemente a fuego bajo para que no se pegue a la olla.

Procedure:

  • In a pot place the milk, sugar and baking soda and let it boil. Let it cook for approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, stirring constantly over low heat so that it does not stick to the pot.

El líquido irá cambiando de color progresivamente hasta obtener el color marrón típico del dulce de leche. Apagar cuando la leche haya espesado, retirar del fuego y dejar reposar.

The liquid will progressively change color until it obtains the typical brown color of dulce de leche. Turn off when the milk has thickened, remove from heat and let stand.

Debes tomar en cuenta que al enfriar, tiende a espesar un poco mas y recomiendo utilizar una paleta de madera preferiblemente.

Lo puedes reservar en un envase con tapa y refrigerarlo y listo para comer, muy fácil de hacer con ingredientes que puedes tener en casa sin necesidad de salir al supermercado.

You must take into account that when it cools, it tends to thicken a little more and I recommend using a wooden paddle preferably.

You can reserve it in a container with a lid and refrigerate it and it is ready to eat, very easy to make with ingredients that you can have at home without having to go to the supermarket.
