Receta Tradicional Sopa de Pescado - Traditional Fish Soup Recipe

Saludos a todo en esta Comunidad, hoy quiero compartir con ustedes una receta tradicional de mi pueblo Margariteño y es una sencilla Sopa de Pescado que solemos preparar en familia los fines de semana, muchas veces a leña. Es un caldo bastante sabroso y espero que les guste.

Greetings to all in this Community, today I want to share with you a traditional recipe from my Margariteño town and it is a simple Fish Soup that we usually prepare as a family on weekends, many times with firewood. It's a pretty tasty broth and I hope you like it.

Para esta sopa necesitamos algunas verduras de su preferencia, en este caso yo use alrededor de 3 kilos de verduras surtidas, entre ellas: auyama o calabaza, yuca, ocumo y chaco o batata dulce.

For this soup we need some vegetables of your preference, in this case I used about 3 kilos of assorted vegetables, among them: squash or pumpkin, yucca, squash and chaco or sweet potato.

Primero debemos lavar esta verdura y quitarle la piel, yo no le quito la piel a la auyama, y cortarla en trozos no tan pequeños. El pescado que use son ruedas de Cabaña además de un poco de cilantro, 2 ajíes dulces y algunos dientes de ajo.

First we must wash this vegetable and remove the skin, I do not remove the skin from the squash, and cut it into not so small pieces. The fish I use are Cabaña wheels as well as a little coriander, 2 sweet peppers and some garlic cloves.

En una olla grande vamos a colocar todas las verduras, los ajíes, el ajo, el cilantro y un buen punto de sal con abundante agua para llevar al fuego.

In a large pot we are going to place all the vegetables, the peppers, the garlic, the coriander and a good point of salt with plenty of water to bring to the fire.

Yo le coloco la tapa a la olla para que todo tome temperatura rápido, y al hervir fuerte y que la verdura esté un poco blanda, agrego el pescado. Yo agrego la cabeza del pescado para darle más sabor a la sopa aunque no la consumimos. El pescado en ruedas de cuece muy rápido así que la sopa estará lista mientras la verdura esté suave.

I put the lid on the pot so that everything takes a quick temperature, and when it boils hard and the vegetables are a bit soft, I add the fish. I add the head of the fish to give the soup more flavor, although we do not consume it. The fish in wheels cook very quickly so the soup is ready while the vegetables are soft.

Y ya puedes servir ésta deliciosa y nutritiva sopa de pescado muy tradicional, aquí se acompaña con arepas y limón. Y SE VALE COMER DOS VECES.

And now you can serve this delicious and nutritious very traditional fish soup, here it is accompanied with arepas and lemon. AND IT IS WORTH EATING TWICE.
