Smoked Salmon
I have been working hard all day and I decided to take a break. I bought a large piece of salmon from the grocery store and I decided to smoke it.
I had 2 cedar planks available and I soaked one in water overnight. You’re supposed to soak the plank for a minimum of an hour but I soaked mine overnight.
Originally I was going to cook the salmon last night but I changed my mind so the cedar plank was thoroughly soaked. I squeezed the juice of one lemon on the salmon after placing it in the plank. I seasoned the salmon with some Himalayan salt, smoked paprika, dill weed and butter.
I used indirect heat from some smoldering charcoal briquettes. The salmon was absolutely delicious! I paired it with some stir fried cabbage and Caesar salad.
