Crawfish Boil

I went to the farmers market this morning for the first time since I’ve been quarantined. I love the fresh fruit and vegetables available, but in addition there is also fresh seafood.

The market had live crawfish and live blue crabs available. I bought both. I am cooking the crawfish boil for lunch and I will make crab gumbo for dinner with the blue crabs.

I wanted both of them, but I did not buy a large quantity of either of them. I had some crab and shrimp boil available, but I am saving it for my crab gumbo. For the crawfish boil, I put in onion, garlic, lemon, crushed red pepper, salt, mustard seed, pickling spice, and bay leaves.

It will be very spicy, just the way that I like it.
