Making of my Rasta Pasta...A jamaican dish

Yesterday I tried preparing a meal for the first time even though the key ingredient was missing, it still turned out great. I made Pasta Rasta for the first time and I enjoyed it very very very well.

According to food history, pasta rasta originated in 1985 by chef Lorraine Washington and it has been one of the best dish in the world especially in recent time. It is a meal good for both keto practicers and heavy eaters.

The main ingredient being jerk seasoning, it was so unfortunate I couldn't find any in the supermarket around my home. So I had make mine from scratch with an incomplete ingredient. Thanks to youtube though, I made something decent from my limited resources.

Basically this meal is based on the use of spice and as we all know there are thousands of spice in the world today. So your knowledge and use of it will determine how this meal will turn out.

Ingredients:
Pasta of any kind or shape
Soy sauce
Jerk seasoning
Spices of any kind
Whipping cream
Vegetables like pepper and spring onions
Olive oil or vegetable oil but in my case I used soya oil.

Firstly, I spiced my chicken and shrimp that would serve as protein in my meal with lots of spices like curry, thyme, rosemary, paprika and my home made jerk seasoning. I left it to marinate for like 10 minutes and went ahead to cut my veggies as seen in the image above. I got me some Red, yellow and green pepper plus onions.

I also got a my pasta cooking by the side and made sure my light soy sauce and whipping cream was assembled. I was left with this president whipped cream because I didn't have any other option besides it. So now to my meal preparation.

After pre-cooking my pasta and stir frying my marinated shrimp and chicken, I kept it aside and moved on to sauteeing my veggies. I then add my add my chicken and shrimp to my cooked veggies. I added my spice and poured a portioned whipping creme into the veggies and cooked for a while. Then I poured my pasta and mixed them together.

Viola I have my Pasta Rasta looking creamy and yummy. Can't seem to be able to upload my video here but I screenshot my image from it, I hope that will do..Bon digital appetite.

First time I know about Pasta Rasta! I think the key is Jerk seasoning which is something I hardly find here.
