La verdad no tenia pensado mostrar esta receta pues considero que es un platillo bastante sencillo, pero luego pensé que quizás seria algo interesante para personas que no son de Venezuela. La verdad a mi esto me lleva fácilmente a la infancia a mis primeros años de vida donde este era uno de mis desayunos favoritos incluso mucho mas que el cereal.

I didn't really plan to show this recipe because I think it's a pretty simple dish, but then I thought that maybe it would be something interesting for people who are not from Venezuela. The truth is that this easily takes me back to my childhood, to my first years of life where this was one of my favorite breakfasts, even more than cereal.

Es muy simple de preparar se hace con harina de maíz precocida y tiene la misma formula que la arepa con la diferencia de que estos se preparan en agua hirviendo y se hacen en forma cilíndrica, y también se les puede agregar sabor a la masa.

It is very simple to prepare and is made with precooked corn flour and has the same formula as the arepa with the difference that these are prepared in boiling water and are made in a cylindrical shape, and you can also add flavor to the dough.

Y para acompañar hice algo que acá en Venezuela llamamos perico , por que? realmente no lo se... pero consiste en rallar cebolla tomate, agregar un poquito de sal y con un par de huevos mezclar todo el surten , son como unos huevos revueltos.

And to go with it I made something that here in Venezuela we call perico, why? I really don't know.... but it consists of grated onion, tomato, add a little salt and with a couple of eggs mix it all together, it's like scrambled eggs.

Es un desayuno sencillo y fácil de hacer y de hecho saludable, y creo que es muy característico de la cocina venezolano.

It is a simple and easy breakfast to make and actually healthy, and I think it is very characteristic of Venezuelan cuisine.
