Nada mas rico que una bebida caliente para esas noches de frío, en mi ciudad Caracas Venezuela, estos días han sido un poco mas fríos que de costumbre, y en una de esas tantas noches recordé una receta de chocolate caliente que solía hacer mi madre en casa, y hoy a pesar de ser una receta muy sencilla me gustaría compartirla con ustedes.

Nothing more delicious than a hot drink for those cold nights, in my city Caracas Venezuela, these days have been a little colder than usual, and in one of those many nights I remembered a recipe for hot chocolate that my mother used to make at home, and today in spite of being a very simple recipe I would like to share it with you.

Para este chocolate caliente necesitaras : 1/4 de taza de cacao en polvo, 1 y 1/2 taza de agua caliente, una cucharadita de canela, 2 cucharadas de maicena (almidón de maíz) endulzante al gusto.

For this hot chocolate you will need
A quarter cup of cocoa powder, 1 and 1/2 cup of hot water, a teaspoon of cinnamon, 2 tablespoons of cornstarch sweetener to taste

Yo esta vez utilice papelón para endulzar porque era lo que tenia en casa primero lo agregue el agua y deje derretir el papelón.

This time I used some papelon to sweeten it because that's what I had at home, first I added the water and let the paper melt.

Luego agregue el cacao y la canela y dejar hervir por un ratito.

Then add the cocoa and cinnamon and let it boil for a while.

Aparte en una taza se disuelve las dos cucharadas de almidón de maíz para luego agregar a la mezcla esto es para que espese.

Apart in a cup dissolves the two tablespoons of corn starch and then add to the mixture this is to thicken.

Este chocolate me recuerda a mi casa me recuerda a mi hogar a mi infancia, a mi madre me trae esa sensación en cada sorbo y eso en estos momentos se siente bien y es sumamente satisfactorio.

This chocolate reminds me of my home, it reminds me of my childhood, my mother brings me that feeling in every sip and that in these moments feels good and is extremely satisfying.
