As a Muslim, sometimes you are confused about enjoying the Hot Pot or Shabu-shabu menu in Taiwan, which is not a Muslim country. What is feared is, what is the soup made of , what does it contain? It is pork soup which is certainly haram for consumption by Muslims. However, at the Munchun Spring restaurant, you don't need it to worried anymore. because the soup used to cook hot pot ingredients comes from milk and is Halal for Muslims.

Since the enactment of a policy initiated by the first female president in Taiwan, Tsai Ing-wen, Taiwan has been doing the most with Indonesia, both in the fields of education and Muslim-friendly tourism. So that some tourist attractions provide Muslim-friendly services, both in terms of food, toilet facilities and the direction of the Qibla for prayers. So that Muslims can freely travel on vacation.

Especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, where each country enforces a closing policy for its citizens to go abroad and also prohibits foreign tourists. This has an impact on the economic downturn, including the tourism sector. So that the government supports the introduction of Muslim-friendly tourism in Taiwan.

One hot pot package at Munchun Sprig consists of

  • One large plate of vegetables that consisted of
  • Tofu, mushrooms, cabbage, green vegetables, meat and taro
  • A bowl of brown rice rice
  • One drink
  • One pot of soup with apple slices
  • To add flavor, I even made the top steamed green sambalcabai spicy and tasted.

As a citizen of Indonesia, it cannot be separated from chili sauce. If you can't afford one large pot portion, Munchun Spring also provides a small menu, which consists of: a small pot of soup, beef, and vegetables.

This place is highly recommended for fellow muslin visiting Taiwan and want to enjoy Shabu-shabu. When we visited, we were also asked for a challenge as a reminder that Muslims from Indonesia had visited the place.

Thank you for reading my post and have a nice day~~
