Hello, friends especially foodies!
Talking about beef ribs in Indonesia, there are two Indonesian restaurants which famous of their best beef ribs, and good news is today i would like to share about our beef ribs foodies experience in that two restaurants.

The Outlook

The first restaurant i mean was located on 1st floor Gajah Mada Plaza, the exactly was one of this restaurant branch. Here how it looked like

We went there on April 6th, weekday, so it wasn't crowded.

While the second restaurant where we went was just yesterday. It was located on 5th floor West Mall, Grand Indonesia Shopping Center. Here how it looked like

So crowded even when it wasn't dinner time yet. Yesterday was saturday, many people went to dine in outside.

I think both of the looked a bit similar with that name which was also almost similar. Both were popular if you want to taste Indonesian Beef Ribs pressed on Sambal (Chilli Paste) or the beef ribs soup.

The Dining Area

We sat on the outdoor area cause inside was full.

Both of the restaurants had a quite large dining area with wood furniture. Both were cozy and homy.

The Menu

The first restaurant had really many kind of dish, besides the ribs they had chicken, fish and other dishes too. All of the food here were Indonesian. Good thing was they also had ribs in package.

While the second restaurant also sold Indonesian Food, especially East Java.

But as you could see, they only had not many menus here. So your choose won't be as much as on the first restaurant. But they also had some menus which was not as same as the first restaurant, for example beef tendon soup and others.

The Service

Both could serve our order fast and without any mistakes so i thought all could serve well.

The Taste

I would try to explain one by one all of the food from each restaurant and then compare the same food in the battle.

The first restaurant:

Beef Ribs Soup

It had super tasty ribs on super delicious broth soup. Besides ribs, they put some carrot here too. The ribs were soft, easy to cut and bite plus they had tasty savory flavour. The soup was also delicious with the beef broth. What a perfect ribs soup!

Beef Ribs pressed on Sambal (Chilli paste)

It had soft texture inside and on the outside it was a bit crunchy and also soft. It had tasty savory flavour and the sambal they made was spicy and tasty too. The sambal had savory, spicy and sweet flavour which was perfect for my tongue. I also loved this menu!

Now our experience on the second Restaurant.

Beef Ribs Soup

It had savory flavour with no carrots in it, only ribs. The beef broth soup was not super tasty and the ribs had medium softness, with savory flavour. The size of the ribs were small.

Beef Ribs pressed on Sambal (Chilli paste)

The ribs were small. It had savory flavour, plus the sambal was only a bit spicy and had sweet flavour with only a little savory flavour.

On the second restaurant i also ordered the fried tempeh.

It had savory flavour and i ate it with their sambal.

Battle:

Beef rib soup, two pictures on the first line was on the first restaurant while the two pictures below shows the second's restaurant. I dunno why the first restaurant had the tastier flavour than the second one, it also had larger ribs plus the soup was also tastier.

Now for the fried beef ribs on sambal, like the soup, the two pictures on the first line were from the first restaurant while the pictures below came from the second restaurant. I would like to tell you the different, the size, all the ribs from the first restaurant were larger than the second restaurant and in these fried ribs also. The first restaurant perfectly served tasty soft crunchy outside ribs and the sambal also had perfect spicy flavour while the second restaurant, they had a thin beef on the ribs, not too tasty and also with the sweet dominant sambal.

Now next to the price

Price

In first restaurant for two packages of the ribs, we paid 99,999 IDR or around 6.89 USD while in the second restaurant we paid 146,500 IDR or around 10.09 USD so the second restaurant had more expensive price. But the flavour and taste, i think the first restaurant was better.

So i think you already known which one is the winner of the battle, The first restaurant! I think they served totally irresistible Ribs...
