This time I bring you a recipe to prepare Catalan potato tortilla, a dish that I love for its delicious flavor and because it does not require many ingredients, it is simple, tasty and economic. Let's get started!

En esta oportunidad les traigo una receta para preparar Tortilla de papa catalana, un platillo que me encanta por su delicioso sabor y porque no requiere de muchos ingredientes, es sencillo, rico y económico ¡Comencemos!

Ingredients

For this recipe you will need:

  • 1 large potato 🥔
  • 1 sweet pepper
  • 1 onion
  • 2 teaspoons of Salt
  • 3 eggs 🥚

Para esta receta se necesita:

  • 1 papa grande 🥔
  • 1 Ají dulce
  • 1 cebolla
  • 2 cucharaditas de sal
  • 3 huevos 🥚

Procedure | Procedimiento

- Step 1 -

First we chop the chili bell pepper and the onion, it can be julienned or diced, as you prefer, and we steir fry them until the onion is crystallized.

- Paso 1 -

Primero picamos el ají y la cebolla, puede ser a la juliana o en cubos, como prefieras, y los colocamos a sofreír hasta que la cebolla esté cristalizada.

- Step 2 -

Proceed to grate the potato into large slices (use the largest side your grater allows). Add it to the rest of the vegetables and stir fry over low heat, stirring constantly so it doesn't stick to the pot. Mix the three eggs, add salt and beat. Once the mixture is homogeneous, add the vegetables and stir everything very well.

- Paso 2 -

Procedemos a rayar la papa en rodajas grandes (utiliza el lado más grande que permita tu rayador). Añadela al resto de vegetales y sofrielos a fuego lento, revuelve sin parar para que no se pegue a la olla. Une los tres huevos, añade sal y bate.


- Step 3 -

Add the vegetables to the egg mixture and stir well. Then coat a round pan or frying pan with oil and spread the mixture evenly in it, place it over a low flame and be careful not to overcook it.

Once you notice that the edges separate easily from the pan, shake it a little to separate it from the bottom and then proceed to flip it over to cook the other side, if you don't have a tortilla pan you can use a plate by placing it on top of the pan, flipping it over and then placing the tortilla back on top of the pan just to brown the other side, remember, you don't want it to overcook, once it is browned on both sides it is ready. Let it rest for 15 minutes and let's eat!

- Paso 3 -

Agrega los vegetales a la mezcla de huevo y revuelve todo muy bien. Luego embadurna una bandeja redonda o sartén con aceite y extiende uniformemente en ella la mezcla, colócalo a llama lenta y está atento para que no se sobre cocine.

Una vez notes que los bordes se separan fácilmente del recipiente sacúdela un poco para separla del fondo y luego procede a voltearla para cocinar el otro lado. Si no tienes una tortillera puedes usar un plato colocándolo encima de la sartén, dándole vuelta y luego volviendo a colocar la tortilla encima de la sartén solo para dorar el otro lado, recuerda, no quieres que se sobre cocine.Una vez este dorada de ambos lados esta lista. Déjala reposar por 15 minutos y ¡A comer!
