Torta de jojoto. Jojoto cake.

Feliz inicio de semana lleno de bendiciones para todos en HIVE en especial a la comunidad @foodies en esta ocasión quise innovar preparando un torta de jojoto, una rica y fácil receta que nos permitirá degustar de un ingrediente natural como es la mazorca o jojoto, un alimento nutritivo y saludable que ya en la actualidad forma parte de nuestra comida diaria como lo son las arepas de maíz, en este caso quise variar, y no hacer una torta tradicional como un simple biscocho.

Ingredientes:

  • 2 tazas harina de trigo leudante
  • 3 cucharadas mantequilla
  • 3 huevos
  • 1 taza azúcar
  • 50gms leche
  • 3 mazorca o jojoto
  • vainilla.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups leavening flour
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 50gms milk
  • 3 corn on the cob or jojoto
  • vanilla.

Se desgrana el maíz con la ayuda de un cuchillo.

The corn is husked with the help of a knife.

Agarramos el maíz desgranado, huevos, vainilla, leche, azúcar y mantequilla lo echamos en la licuadora, con 1 taza de agua, licuar hasta formar una mezcla homogénea.

Take the shelled corn, eggs, vanilla, milk, sugar and butter and put them in the blender with 1 cup of water, blend until a homogeneous mixture is formed.

En un bol agregamos la mezcla de maíz, le echamos 2 tazas de harina de trigo de a poco y procedemos a batir con una paleta de madera de forma envolvente hasta que todos los ingredientes se mezclen seguidamente lo vertimos en una tortera previamente engrasada/ enharinada después metemos al horno por 30 minutos introducimos un palillo en el centro para saber si esta lista y finalmente sacar dejar reposar.

In a bowl add the corn mixture, add 2 cups of wheat flour a little at a time and proceed to beat with a wooden paddle until all the ingredients are mixed, then pour it into a previously greased/floured pan and put it in the oven for 30 minutes, insert a toothpick in the center to see if it is ready and finally take it out and let it rest.

Heheh... Corn mixture?

Woww.. we do alot of things with corn in Nigeria but l have never see an addition of corn mixture to any cake.

This must be a really sumptuous meal.
