Hello Friends,
Welcome to my blog. This is the first time I am trying to post from Natural Medicine platform. Today I am making an uncommon dish that is though very famous in northern parts of India. This is in the category of beans and is made with gravy in abundance. Without taking much time let's have a look.
Black Eyed Beans - White Lobiya!!
Black eyed bean is what we call them, though India these are commonly known as Lobiya. This is obviously total vegan and highly nutritious. These are rich in Thiamine which is an important to maintain the health of nerves and also Vitamin A - a vision enhancement nutrient. These are normally hard like pulses or soyabean so it is necessary to cook them thoroughly. So let us have a look at the recipe.
Ingredients :-
- Black Eyed Beans - 250 gms. Soaked in water for 5 minutes.
- Onions - 3 (Finely Chopped).
- Fresh Green Chilli - 3(Finely Chopped).
- Tomatoes 4 to 5.
- Salt to taste.
- Turmeric Powder - 1 tbsp.
- Red Chilli Powder - 1 tbsp.
The process..
Firstly, take a pressure cooker and add oil to it. Put it on low flame.
Now add Finely chopped Onions and green Chilli.
Once the Onions are caramelised grate the tomato into the pot.
Add Salt, Red Chilli Powder and Turmeric powder. Give it a good stir.
Now is the time to add the beans.
Add 3 cups of water.
Now close the lid and cook until 3 whistles.
And the effort pays off.. Let's serve it!!
And the delicious beans are on the table to ooze you with satisfaction.
