This is how my back garden is this month.
El año pasado tuve el honor de participar en una hermosa iniciativa que @simplymike llevaba, que consistía en mostrar mes a mes diversos aspectos de nuestros jardines, patios, conucos o cualquier área verde de nuestras viviendas; de hecho, en la última edición que se hizo el año tuve el honor junto con otra compañera, de ser la ganadora. Posteriormente esta bella actividad fue suspendida debido a problemas de salud de su creadora; pero afortunadamente en este año 2021, @riverflows ha retomado la idea y le ha insuflado vida para reactivar este bello reto, del cual ofrezco a continuación su respectivo enlace:

Mi solar no es muy grande. No lo he medido con exactitud, pero tiene una extensión aproximada de entre 350 y 400 metros cuadrados. He tratado estos últimos años de que sea productivo, pero tengo una gran limitante, y es el suministro constante de agua, ya que en donde vivo este servicio básico tiene 8 años sin llegar, razón por la cual debo comprarla a precios altos. Actualmente estamos en época de sequía en Venezuela, motivo por el cual las plantas sufren estrés hídrico, dificultándoseles poder florecer y fructificar adecuadamente; no obstante, Madre Tierra es increíblemente generosa y me ha dado algunos regalos que traigo hoy acá, para compartirlos con ustedes. Sin embargo, antes de mostrarles cómo está mi solar en este mes de marzo 2021, les ofrezco unos enlaces que les llevarán a las últimas cosechas que he podido realizar desde diciembre 2020 a la actualidad:
My back garnde is not very big. I have not measured it exactly, but it has an area of approximately 350 to 400 square meters. I have tried in recent years to make it productive, but I have a great limitation, and it is the constant supply of water, since where I live this basic service has not arrived for 8 years, which is why I must buy it at high prices. Espero realmente no ser repetitiva, pero como dije, muchas de mis plantas están actualmente en receso, ya que no tienen el agua suficiente para expresarse en todo su esplendor, así que les he traído fotos de mis topochos, guayaba, papaya, groselleros, cerezos y de mi planta de trillolit la cual está ubicada en mi patio interno, es decir, en el corazón de la casa.

Estos son detalles de las bellotas y flores de topocho, (Musa paradisiaca L), que aún están por cosechar, son tres en total y las iré cosechando mes a mes, esa es la ventaja de utilizar el sistema de siembra de macoya, en el cual se trabaja con cuatro plantas: La productiva y tres más de distintas edades, a saber, el abuelo, el padre y el hijo, así, luego de la cosecha de la planta productiva, vendrá la planta abuelo, la más vieja y cargará, el siguiente mes le tocará a la planta hija, y el próximo a la planta nieto.
These are details of the acorns and topocho flowers, (Musa paradisiaca L), which are still to be harvested, there are three in total and I will harvest them month by month, that is the advantage of using the macoya planting system, in the which works with four plants: The productive one and three more of different ages, namely, the grandfather, the father and the son, thus, after the harvest of the productive plant, the grandfather plant will come, the oldest and will load, the next month it will be the daughter plant, and the next month the grandson plant.
Ahora es el turno de la guayaba (Psidium guajava), de la cual tengo un hermoso árbol que creció espontáneamente, de la variedad que es amarilla o color crema (también la hay rosa fuerte) y cada 3-4 meses da una cosecha de aproximadamente 40 kilos. Actualmente, en marzo, casi toda la fruta está aún verde, pero sí he cosechado algunas guayabas con las cuales elaboro jugos y otras preparaciones.

Ahora mis queridos árboles de grosella amarilla (Phyllanthus acidus), de los cuales tengo cuatro, no obstante aquí muestro tres acercamientos a las inflorescencias de la planta madre, que como ven nacen directamente del troco y ramas; y las frutas que ha dado una de las plantas hijas, las otras dos plantas están retoñando actualmente. Si todo sale bien, en dos meses estaré recolectando una buena cantidad de fruta.
Now my dear yellow currant trees (Phyllanthus acidus), of which I have four, nevertheless here I show three close-ups of the inflorescences of the mother plant, which, as you can see, are born directly from the stem and branches; and the fruits that one of the daughter plants has produced, the other two plants are currently sprouting. If all goes well, in two months I will be harvesting a good amount of fruit.
Aquí les traigo, en orden de aparición fotos del semeruco, papaya y guayacán. La primera foto es de uno de mis árboles de semeruco o cerecita roja, también conocido como acerola (Malpighia emarginata); este es un árbol joven, que este año al parecer va a fructificar mejor; aquí les he querido dar un detalle de las pequeñas flores rosa pálido, las cuales son libadas en horas de la mañana y de la tarde por abejas Apis, a ellas les encanta esta planta. Luego está una de mis plantas de papaya o lechosa (Carica papaya), con un solo fruto. La razón de que no cargue más es que a mi solar se mudó una iguana bebé y a escondida se come las flores y los brotes. Posteriormente está uno de mis arbolitos de guayacán (Guaiacum officinale), es una planta aún pequeña, realmente no da frutos comestibles, sólo se siembra con fines ornamentales y para sombra.
Here I bring you, in order of appearance, photos of the semeruco, papaya and guayacán. The first photo is of one of my semeruco or red cherry trees, also known as acerola (Malpighia emarginata); this is a young tree, which this year seems to bear better fruit; here I have wanted to give you a detail of the small pale pink flowers, which are sucked in the morning and afternoon by Apis bees, they love this plant. Then there is one of my papaya or milky plants (Carica papaya), with only one fruit. The reason I don't load more is that a baby iguana moved to my lot and secretly eats the flowers and buds. Later there is one of my guayacán trees (Guaiacum officinale), it is a still small plant, it does not really bear edible fruits, it is only planted for ornamental purposes and for shade.
Y de último les dejo unas fotos de mi planta de trilloit (Combretum indicum), la que está ubicada en el corazón de mi casa, es decir, en todo el centro, en el patio interno. Esta enredadera, le da frescor y sombra a mi hogar, así como también lo perfuma, pues sus flores son muy fragantes, oxigena el ambiente y me protege de las moscas, pues es repelente de las mismas. Como he dicho antes, la planta tiene casi 80 años de haber sido plantada, y creo que le da una bella energía a mi hogar. Ella siempre está verde y florida, es una planta con pocas exigencias, salvo riego en épocas de calor, y es necesario podarla mensualmente para que no se extienda a los techos.
And finally I leave you some photos of my trilloit plant (Combretum indicum), which is located in the heart of my house, that is, throughout the center, in the internal courtyard. This vine gives freshness and shade to my home, as well as perfumes it, because its flowers are very fragrant, it oxygenates the environment and protects me from flies, as it is repellent from them. As I have said before, the plant is almost 80 years old, and I think it gives my home a beautiful energy. It is always green and flowery, it is a plant with few requirements, except for watering in hot weather, and it is necessary to prune it monthly so that it does not spread to the roofs.

Para ser exactos son casi 7 años ya sin una gota de agua por tubería, y 1 año y tanto con suministro muyyyyyy irregular (una vez a la semana), por tubería. De resto, comprarla hasta poder abrir un pozo. Gracias por pasar a leer y comentar. Sí, hacemos todo lo posible para mantener las plantas vivas y productivas. Un abrazo.

Hello @nivok , I do the same. I cannot plant vegetables with a lot of demand for water, because it would be fatal, they would not be maintained. Musaceae do need water, but the species I have planted are less demanding in this regard, that is topochos and lady's fingers. I collect rainwater and wash it in an ecological washing machine from which I can drain the water, I use the water to wash dishes by hand, the one produced by air conditioners and thus, with this I can moderately maintain my garden. Wow! When you said not much was going on as the garden was dry, I dind't expect to see so MUCH! I mean -bananas? You have BANANAS? That's just crazy to me - it's such a tropical garden paradise! I hope that iguana doesn't steal too much from you. I can tell how much you love your garden - I hope there is rain soon!
Hahahaha @riverflows yeah it's dry I'm still trying my best. I love bananas, they are also a food source, which is why I currently have 5 bananas, each with 5 trees. What I do know, and about three years ago we were able to locate it, is that underneath, in the subsoil, about 9 meters deep, there are several veins of water, I have been buying all the necessary materials, to see if I can open a well and always have water, only that the machinery cannot have it and the labor is expensive. I thought about doing it this year, but the rainy season is coming, in May, and from then on you can't dig a well, because it wouldn't look good. Maybe next year I will. A hug.

De seguro que la pasaríamos genial hablando de matas tu mamá y yo, tengo la certeza de que aprendería mucho de ella. Y es que las plantas son tan bellas, tan preciosas y nos ofrecen tanto, que uno jamás se cansa de cultivarlas. Sí, protegí la lecha del Señor Morrocoy pero vino Iguana Bebé y me la tiene a monte, y no he podido capturarla para que mi esposo la lleve a otro sitio, ojalá mis perras no la capturen antes.
