RE: Towards a Fulfilling Life: Mindfulness Takes Many Shapes

Doing our best is all we can do. 'Mindful eating' is wonderful when you actually have a lunch break. Still, breathing whilst screening and eating at the same time can be the best we can do. On teh flipside, it's amazing how much MORE can be done if you DO take ten minutes for lunch, even if you don't have it.

Our heads are far too full of all kinds of things.

One of the things I am increasingly learning is the importance of "mindfully overcoming" to be really what society calls ADHD... I skip around from one thing to another, and even though I am constantly doing something I actually waste a lot of time on "task switching." Using timers has helped a lot... and it's very easy. Just type "30-minute timer" and you have a clock running in the background, and I remind myself I can get a "reward" if I just wait till the chime to switch tasks.

But yes, I agree... my head is definitely filled with too many things, and it gets my Monkey Mind running!
