(Edited)

Good morning dear Hivers.

The week has just started and I'd like to start sharing content with you as well.

Tridax Procumbens

It is a native plant of tropical South and Central America that has been introduced in subtropical and mild climates, which is why it is possible to find it in many parts of the world nowadays. It is also well known as Coatbuttom, Khal Murilla, and Cadillo.

Sadly, it is considered a pest plant due to its easy spread and perennial nature, but I have also discovered that the whole plant can be a powerful source of healing properties.

Herb uses

The therapeutic properties attributed to this plant are due to the presence of steroids, flavonoids, sugar reducers, and amino acids in its composition.

  • Oral use: prepared as tea is helpful to treat allergy, hypersensitivity, flu, fever, and some gastrointestinal problems.

  • Topic Use: the juice from the leaves can be used to stop hemorrhages and to clean wounds.

Studies have attributed to this flowering plant a significant potential for the treatment of conditions such as osteoporosis and candidiasis, however, more studies are needed.

Thank you so much for reading.

Best regards.

Rima💕

It looks like this post contains a link that does not use a secure protocol: http://www.conabio.gob.mx/malezasdemexico/asteraceae/tridax-procumbens/fichas/ficha.htm.
HTTP is in use instead of HTTPS and no protocol redirection is in place.
Be careful and do not enter sensitive information in that website as your data won't be encrypted.
It's also a good habit to always hover links before clicking them in order to see the actual link in the bottom-left corner of your browser.
