Slowly but surely everything is coming alive, since our post last month @kaliphae and me have nurtured and worked some more on our space

20.png

It's been about a month since I made the first post in this series.
We have since then been sprouting and starting many of the vegetables that we are planning to grow this year. The weather is warming up and hopefully by Mai we can finally transplant our babies outside.

Here below you can see:
-3 tomatoes "Dattelwein" a german heirloom variety in the top row,
-Then we have on the lower left a "cucamelon/Melothria trilobata" ("cocktailgurke" in german)
-Finally a conventional cucumber on the lower right in the box.

Today we put one of the tomatoes into a 20Liter pot in which it will have its permanent residence, and gave the 2 smaller ones only a slightly bigger pot than their current ones since they are meant to go straight into the soil once the risk of night frost is over. We also have some "electric daisy" growing this year, it has begun to show some nice growth but we didn't take any pictures of them yet, I will make a post about them in the future cause it is a rather weird but interesting plant.

We have some more things germinating in our little seedling box, we potted a successful germination of a japenese "Chirimen" Pumpkin, 1 on of the litchee-tomatoes (Solanum sisymbriifolium) germinated successfully, which I am especially curious and excited about and one of the "Trinidad Moruga Scorpion Yellow" germinated successfully, both of which will stay a few more days in the box before we pot them into something else.

Just acquired these 2 beautiful Basil plants, The green one is a Lemon/Strawberry Variety, which has a extra fruity kick next to its standard basil flavor, exotic. Put them into big pots and will be keeping them indoors for now still

We had planted some narcisuss, hyacinths and several other spring flowers last month, which have all begun blooming colourfully these past several weeks. Also we added some Wisteria and Lonicera climbing vines to several spots in our little corner, hoping to build a canopy of fragrant and colourful flowering vines. Also planted many bulbs for summer flowers, lilacs, dahlias, lilies and more, which will only begin to show themselves in a month or two.

The final photos are some before and after duos, so that you can see the difference between last month and now, and a series of close ups of some of the flowers that have begun blooming.

A big thank you to @kaliphae for co-creating with me this space, nurturing the seeds and seeing the beautiful growth emerge together makes it a truly enriching experience. Starting by creating our little Oasis of Paradise, training for the bigger scales that are yet to come.

Thank you very much, glad that some of the beauty of it could be shared. It is still in its infancy, now most of april a little downtime, temps are dropping below freezing for the next week now at nights. In may we will be planting the last set of additions, and by june/july the space should be in its peak glory for this year 🌹 🌿 🌳 🌺 🌻 🍎
