We all want to live happily for 100 years or more, but every day this thought becomes more of a utopia. The human being is always looking for something to make him happy, that feeling of emptiness and unsatisfaction is always present.

But all this can change or at least that is what the Japanese promise us. They say that you only need to find your reason for being.

My reason for being? What is my reason for being?

They use this powerful word that can change everything:

Ikigai 1.jpg

And what is the IKIGAI? Well, it's a set of elements that, when all are present, can give you the full meaning of life.

  • The first element is what you love. That which makes you happy and you would do even without getting anything in return
  • This is followed by what you are good at. That in which you stand out.
  • Then comes what the world needs. What could you as a person give to this world?
  • And finally: What can they pay you for? What could bring you financial benefits?

Now, if we combine what you love and what you are good at you get your Passion.

If you combine it with what the world needs you get your Mission.

If you combine what the world needs and what they can pay you for you get your Vocation.

And if you combine what they can pay you for and what you are good at, you get your Profession.

But when all this elements are together you get YOUR REASON FOR BEING.

como encontrarlo _ how to find it.png

Sounds great, doesn't it? But how do you find it? How do you find that combination of elements that will bring you happiness?

Well, unfortunately there is no manual. It's a constant process, it can take years to find it.

The best way to do it is to try, without pressure.
