Well, I'm back with the newsletter, after a short break and a pulled tooth. 😕 Thank you @riverflows for keeping the slot vibrant and for the wonderful selection of different thumbnails to spice up things this year. I hope you like the one that took my fancy today. I thought it really brightened things up and matched the plant based Natural Medicine January theme, while hinting that we have a variety of other features for you this week.
Things happening in the community.
Some highlights of the week
If you're working on a self build, @thebigsweed has some great advice and instruction on step flashing to seal a shingle roof. Getting it right first time is a priority for him, because you don't want to be dealing with the aftermath of a leak and DIA (doing it again).
Now for something a little different. Each week @traciyork does a tarot reading and shares this as an interactive post with the Hive community. This can be both fun and informative, whether you're a believer of tarot or not, it can provide some food for thought.
@nateonsteemit updates us on the progress of a couple of his self sufficiency projects. Things seem to be coming along nicely.
I love to finish the newsletter on a recipe and here's @riverflows with three! Three plant based recipes featuring medicinal herbs, because we often forget about that medicinal side to them and think only of the flavour.
Each week one of our featured authors will be selected to be a 5% beneficiary of The Lotus Garden newsletter. This week @nateonsteemit will receive this award.
