Free use Stock Images of Herbs

avatar
(Edited)

I find one of the hardest images to find on the free use image sites are of herbs. While I try to take most of my photos myself, I don't have all plants available, especially if I'm doing research on whether to plant them or not. My camera is also not the best, either, and can struggle to get a clear picture, especially when I want to get those close up details for better identification. However, occasionally I get something presentable, so I thought I may as well share them for use.

Feel free to alter as you wish. If you should use them please source back to this post.

Thank you. Not the best quality, as I'm sure wool become apparent on zooming in.

Looking forward to seeing your herb photos.

More plant and herb photos? As it happens, I was desperately looking for an excuse to photograph the herbs on my balcony, especially take close ups and macro photos of them so now I have a solid reason to do that. Thanks!

Oh yes, definitely a good reason! Looking forward to seeing them. My camera is terrible for macro.

I truly love the idea of artists and photographers making their images related to natural health available as stock images. Fabulous for the artist/photographer to be able to reach a broader audience when they are accredited, as well as the writer/blogger who prefers to write rather than draw/photograph. ⚖️⚖️🍀⚖️⚖️

Agreed. I'm on the blogger side, my camera isn't great and I'm a slow writer as it is, so drawings as well would be too much for me. I often wish I could get better close ups for illustration purposes, but my camera often doesn't play ball.

My garden has been in its infancy for such a long time but I'm hoping all the composting and building up of soil for the last few years will provide the best soil to grow an abundance of vegies in now. I love to photograph plants and as yet haven't even used my macro lens. Back at Hive now after a year's break from writing, I'll be happy to provide some stock images as soon as I can. ⚖️⚖️🍀⚖️⚖️

We're at a stage where I'm thinking of having an index for just gardening posts, so I'll look forward to them coming in.

Wonderful news. My house-mate/friend started a course on permaculture a few months ago. We have both been interested in permaculture for a long time but we are now starting to apply the principles in a more practical way. ⚖️⚖️🍀⚖️⚖️

What lovely herbs you have!
I'd love to see your whole herb garden! Actually I'm curious about what your homestead looks like?

It's more a large garden than a homestead. Hence the tongue in cheek name of the Miniature Smallholding. 😁 I don't have a specific herb garden, but the Mediterranean ones cope best with our climate, so I have more on the front where it's exposed.
