Veganuary How to make a banana compote/ Como hacer una compota de banana

avatar

This January we start incorporating new recipes to the menu, that will fit the budget and that Santiago can also eat

The Veganuary movement is promoted, it is the mixture between Vegan and January, as I have read it takes advantage of the beginning of the year since people are more encouraged to acquire new habits.

We started with the snacks, a fruit that we all like at home is the cambur or banana and we decided to prepare it in compote

First we peel a fairly ripe banana

Then we cut it in half to remove the seeds (black spots)

We cut in slices and then cut in squares

Then we put water to heat and when it boils we add rice flour, you can also use cornstarch. and mix it well until it boils again, when it does this you add the cambur and mix well. You will observe that the cambur is dissolving. You remove it from the fire

And if you wish, you can put it through the blender until it is homogeneous and ready.

Let it cool and ready to serve, you can store it in the refrigerator for 3 to 5 days

@JustinParke here on behalf of NaturalMedicine.io.

This looks delicious, I love anything with bananas. I've never boiled bananas for drinking before, this a new and interesting technique. Thanks also for taking part in Veganuary.

Thanks @kyleana for sharing this with us.

Yes, for the baby we boil the fruit or give it to him naturally crushed, it is too small even to give it to him bigger (and it scares me, haha, first time), besides that his diet is of fruits and vegetables for a problem of maturation of the kidney. But he loves cambur.

Saludos.
