It Feels Good To Try Something. Just Be Ready To overcome Your Fears

I have witnessed a lot of situations where people decided to switch their course of action in order to adopt new ways of doing things.

One thing that I have noticed in all these is that it requires courage to try something new but it will surely give the person a sense of achievement if he successfully achieves his goal.

Being courageous is a prerequisite for anyone that wants to try something new but this leaves me with some questions;

Is it also applicable to children?
Do you believe that children also need to be courageous?

I have always been the type of person that does alot of brainwork with little or no lips movement. I know of alot of ideas which I was supposed to share while discussing with my peers but I swallowed my spit without saying any word. I also had a lot of answers to the questions asked in my classroom but my lips betrayed me and left me dumb without uttering a word.

I was experiencing a circular flow of pumping and dumping of ideas without being able to allow any of these to escape from my lips. Blaming any supernatural being for that may look like an escape route because that would clearly be seen as an act of self deceit. My FEAR was the only limitation that l had and l knew it.

  • I was too afraid of what will happen if people disagreed with my opinion.

  • I was afraid of giving a wrong answer to my teachers question.

  • I was also afraid of being ignored while sharing my idea.

All these and many other flimsy excuses summed up my fear. This continued until when l was 9 years of age. It was during my first speech after being appointed as the class prefect in my primary school that I summoned the courage to freely express myself.

The position needed me to always interact with everyone so I came into the class, stood in front of everyone and gave them a mini speech.

I was sincerely expecting the ground to open and swallow me while biting my lips in the name of giving a speech. I expected everyone to laugh out loud while chanting in disagreement to what I was saying.

All these which summed up my fear ended up being mere self inflicted constraints. To my greatest surprise; I was receiving rounds of applause at regular intervals within my speech.

I just couldn't hide my excitement because of how things turned out. I felt like someone that stepped into the moon.

That's all about me and how l felt after finding the courage to try something new.

I know that you are already excited so, tell me how you felt when you first had courage to try new thing.

You are a bundle of ideas, one just needs to shake it out of you! 😁 I'm glad you realised that there was no point being afraid or self conscious.

As a child, I was curious and tried a lot of things. Believe me, you wouldn't want to know the half of it. 😄 It's important children be encouraged to try new things so they can discover where their talents lie.

Hahaha...lady K is really in a Cakefied mood tonight 🤣.

You walked into a grand office with Dad and decided to pursue a prolific profession. I'm sure that your mind is filled with stories to be told and l will hang around to read through all of them.

Hehe, of course, l would prefer to Listen to the stories than to read them 🙄🙄🤣

Ahaa... Thanks for the shaky compliment in the first paragraph. I'm a still looking for the person that have me that shake 🤣
