HOPING FOR BETTER DAYS AHEAD? It Can Be Tomorrow Or The Day After.

Life is hard and l know it. I also know that people are sincerely waiting for better days to come.

Everyone says that better days are coming. The clergy, politicians, writers, psychologist - everyone! Whenever we are passing through the dark phase of life, we look ourselves in the mirror and convince ourselves that better days are ahead.

This same line is used to plant the seed of inspiration in people's heart. It's a symbol of hope that many people hold onto irrespective of what the odds may be.

DO I BELIEVE THIS?

Of course, l do. I believe that better days are coming but I'm sure that my answer would have been different 3 years ago.

I can still recall how much l disliked that line. It sounded like a trick used to steal candy from a baby. It also lacked the authenticity to convince me of the tendency of waking up to a better day. I mean, every new day was looking worse than yesterday. I was afraid of imagining what the future holds in store for me.

That was how l felt when l got trapped in a sort of shithole despite fighting so hard to graduate with a very decent grade in University. Everything l worked for crashed within the twinkle of an eye. The whole drama surrounding this is something l will put into writing some other time.

For now, my focus is on the consolatory messages l received. Everyone was assuring me that better days are ahead.

A dying man always holds onto any shred of hope that can assure his recovery. That's how optimistic we are programmed to be. no offence to the pessimistic folks but, nobody wants to bow out without giving a good fight.

Just like everyother person, l decided to live through each day while hoping for a better tomorrow.

What else can l do? I needed to believe this so, l convinced myself to be optimistic.

MY CONCLUSION

I've lived long enough to know what it means to pass through difficulties. I've also witnessed challenging situations so, l have a clear picture of how it feels to be in one.

Knowing that better days are ahead is not as simple as saying, "I Know It!". Truth is, nobody can boast of knowing what will happen the next minute. We just have to live each day with hope of a better tomorrow.

If not for anyother other reason, just do it for the sake of your mental health.

Your article is deep and thought-provoking. The only word I can drop to sum it up is FAITH.

Truly no one knows tomorrow. No one is ever prepared for the challenges that bombard us sometimes. With faith, we can be hopeful of a bright tomorrow or future. Faith assures us that there are better days ahead.

Exactly... Faith is what many of us are holding unto. Sometimes, it seems like an act of self deceit especially when all the odds are against us. You just sink deeper into darkness without knowing how the next day will be.

At times like that, being faithful and hoping for a better tomorrow seems to be the only thing that most people can do.

Wonderfully positive and encouraging message here! Thank you for sharing this. It's magnificent that you've allowed yourself the freedom to believe in the future despite all odds! That's what it's all about. Blessings!

I like to believe that we always have more than two options in the various situations that life presents us with, however, as to how we look at life I believe there are only two ways or you look at it with openness "walking towards the best" or with a closed mind that does not allow you to see beyond the gap. In any case already knowing that you can choose we are on the side of openness. Greetings

Wowww... You'd have a nice way of driving each discussion to interesting angles.

I like the explanation you gave and l'm very impressed. Truth is, we can hardly be sure of how tomorrow will be. We may not have enough faith to hope for a better tomorrow but, we should always try to give our best at all times.

Hopefully, the heavens will smile upon us
